Same here. I promised I would donate half the winnings if I won. I left the church sure of myself that I had been heard and to expect great things. That night the Lord came to me in my dreams, he said "You go first".
deal or no deal..the guy ( a pastor ) dreamed that the 1million was in briefcase #16 yet he picked #9...and in the end it was in #16...he tapped out at $306k peace
Find something you are interested in and follow it passionately and ignore the rest of the world. A freind of mine years ago said"People are basically mean and stupid" He was right but not all. Perhaps Paretos 80 percent. The world is manipulated by the few. Accept it.Its part of human nature. Don't try to change it.. It is everywhere corrupt. You can do nothing about it. Unless its actions are a direct threat ignore it and do your own thing. If you are seeking happiness you must simplify and think more as a child does. A child is always totally absorbed in what he is doing unless he is in the process of manipulating you and not really doing only what you observe. Speaking of children the are temporary and to use them as a means to happiness is doomed to failure. Their time with you is fleeting. They will move on and you will be left to your own devices yet again. Remember the words of Lin Yang " A busy man is never wise, and a wise man is never busy.Human behavior is incalcuable and wayward." Forget your damming IQ.Thinking of yourself in terms of it will freeking doom you!
People don't find lasting happiness because they don't seek fulfillment, which delivers the richest least-fleeting happiness. And people don't find fulfillment because they don't give, which can become a powerful route to finding fulfillment. And people don't give because they aren't thankful for what they have, and aren't interested in giving when they feel they don't have enough. And people don't think they have enough because...they aren't happy. So imo if you want to be happy, start by being thankful, and practice giving out of that place of thanfulness. <---- *returns to trading - because he doesn't have enough money. *
I just want to say that this thread now contains some truly wise words thanks to all of you contributing I am not shiting you when I say, this thread should be printed out and used to treat depressions, gnostics, etc
Happiness is caused by how we view the world(ourselves, others, problems, events and everything else). This is usually not a choice unless we consciously make it so - done automatically by our minds. The world is not bad or good, pleasant or cruel, it just is. Whatever meaning you assign to it is your own.
Christ is the process of creation that delivers to you what you ask. Christ has everything. Is everything. Everything you experience or experience not, you've asked for...always. You will experience the effects of what is held in the mind. What you hold there is what you ask for...what you pray for. There is confusion among the thoughts you hold in mind. So the results are haphazard...sometimes hazardous to your health. It takes a bit of faith to accept this. But realize that much of what you see has been asked for at subconscious levels that pre-date the appearance of birth in a body. What has been asked for has narrowed self awareness. Now there must be a vigilance about what is held in mind. Thoughts must be looked at. Beliefs must be examined. These are what is delivering to your experience. There are so many unworthy thoughts held in mind that to sort through them would take you an eternity. So I recommend emptying your mind of every thought without striving to determine whether you are dumping true thoughts. You will be filled full with true thoughts only. That would be like hitting the jackpot. Jesus
