That would suggest as volume in the pit declined and eventually reached 0 when they closed. Everything else being equal, it would mean volume and liquidity would increase in the electronic market not decrease as all the orders moved over.
nothing moved over because there was nothing in the pit other than 2 filling brokers and 1 or 2 traders trying to stay awake. visually it was hilarious.

Actually, there was also 110 contract trade last night (this session) at ~10pm. Since you typed this, there were a few more, like 10 total for today and the day is less than half done. In a way it's an artefact of smaller sizes at the touch by market makers. So while someone can get filled, it's going to show up as a bunch of separate fills at the same price. Also, sizes at the touch have been declining proportionately to the notional of the futures. Not sure when Don Miller was trading, but 500 futures is 130 million in notional so a market maker taking that down in one clip is running meaningful risk.
Sim works in all markets. Real time, your scalping and doubling/tripling down in this environment would get crushed if on the wrong side.

ES Futures Market is ONLY for hustlers who want to get RICH quickly, it is not for fancy smart people. You have to be born poor to do well in trading the ES futures market. Do not try to understand NOTHING in trading, just do your best and do it until your are VERY tired by 3pm.

All you have to do to GET VERY RICH VERY QUICKLY day trading the ES is to press the keys at the right time, make sure to buy near the lows and sell near the highs. Do not try and trade ES in any other way. Very easy and no stress. NOTHING is tiring when you are successful at day trading the ES, make sure to ONLY buy near the lows and sell near the highs.. That is all you have to do.
