Tax preparers got the results of an audit from the Government Accountability Office on Tuesday. Let's just say things didn't go well. The GAO's report cited a small undercover study of 19 paid preparers in February, chosen randomly in states that do not regulate tax preparers. The findings: ⢠Seventeen of 19 preparers made mistakes. ⢠Errors ranged from giving the taxpayer refunds $52 less than due to a refund of $3,718 more than due. ⢠Most frequent error: not reporting tips (12 of 19 returns). Unfortunately, the report didn't come as a surprise. The GAO surveyed taxpayer errors from 2006 through 2009 and found that tax returns prepared by preparers had a higher estimated percent of errorsâ60 percentâthan self-prepared returnsâ50 percent.... Is it just me or is our tax code a little too complicated?
Is it just me or is our tax code a little too complicated? It is just you...LOL! The time for a revolution has passed. It is all down the drain from here...
There are reasons why the government doesn't "work" 1) Government doesn't have to work!! Revenues are taxes collected. The government does not have to provide a service or product that people want in order to produce revenue. Just raise taxes and print more money. 2) Government is policy and procedure driven rather than profit and result driven. If a mistake is made, so long as policy and procedure were followed, no problem. However, if you get the job done but did not follow policy and procedure, your head will roll!! 3) Government does not own up to its mistakes. Instead, it issues press releases that say there is no problem, or it's working, or we have it under control, or jobs are being created,etc... meanwhile dollars are wasted, lives possibly lost, etc.. WAKE UP AMERICA AND SMELL THE TYRANNY!!
I'd say you're right. Revolution is a damned scary thought now vs the first one: -people have no respect for others, property, etc., the robbing, murdering, pillaging, will be indescribable. -people are all "me" types, and will step on the heads of their neighbors while stealing their neighbors food, guns, etc., -people today have two days food at hand, and after that they're done. They can't garden. They can't live off the land. All they'll know is "gets mine," and it won't matter from whom they harm to get it from. I could go on, but you get the drift. It's sadly overdue, but I do cringe at the thought as it will be pure mystery for at least two years. If not longer...
These two short sentences tell you a lot about our government and our culture: 1.. We are advised to not judge all Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge all gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Funny how that works. 2.. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. How come we never hear about welfare running out of money? What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't.
Study: A Million Legal Immigrants a Year Is Remaking America ...First, the enormous flow of legal immigrants in to the country - 29.5 million 1980 to 2012 - has remade and continues to remake the nation's electorate in favor of the Democratic Party. Second, the partisan impact of immigration is relatively uniform throughout the country- from California to Texas to Florida - even though local Republican parties have taken different positions on illegal immigration. The decline does not seem to vary with the local Republican Party's position on illegal immigration. Third, if legal immigration levels remain at the current levels of over one million a year, it will likely continue to undermine Republicans' political prospects moving forward. Further, if the substantial increases in legal immigration in Senate's Gang of Eight bill (S.744) were to become law it would accelerate this process. Conversely, lowering the level of legal immigration in the future would help stem the decline in the Republican vote. Additionally, immigrants, especially Asians and Hispanics, find liberal programs more palatable than conservative ones, according to Gimpel. Given that immigrants are usually in the lower income brackets, they're going to favor the redistributionist policies often seen within liberal circles... http://cnsnews.com/mrctv-blog/matt-vespa/study-million-legal-immigrants-year-remaking-america
Holy crap! If there was ever an "exhibit A" on the case of Government waste of time and money, that is is.
(CNSNews.com) â The Bureau of Land Management announced it is planning to award 10 grants of $1 million each for wild horse and burro contraception and sterilization for up to five years. "The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Wild Horse and Burro Program protects, manages, and controls wild horses and burros under the authority of the Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act of 1971 to ensure that healthy herds thrive on healthy range lands," the grant announcement said... The feds have practically cornered the market on ammunition recently. Now they're going to piss away $10 million dollars to do what a few hundred bucks in ammunition they already have could do?
