Why don't traders share strategies?

  1. I think your subject of focus is a bit off. When looking at your theory, I would think the market would be the evolutionary system (not a strategy as you say) and progress is the market becoming more efficent (not a system becoming more profitable). Sharing information as you suggest makes the market more efficent, but in turn makes the trader less (or even, not at all) profitable. Traders don't benefit from efficent markets (even though they help create them).
