  1. I have been giving serious thought to this question for quite a while.

    Why don't more women trade?

Maybe their boobs get in the way.

  3. I was curious as to how a woman trader might vent on a "bad day." I've heard of male traders punching monitors, destroying keyboards, attacking other traders, kicking computers, punching holes in walls, etc.

What would a woman do? Two guys can get into a fist fight and have beers together a couple hours later. However, once a woman is pissed off, she is pissed off for a good long time. In fact, I can't remember the last time I've seen two women go at it and become friends later on -- they usually wind up wanting to hate each other forever.

Now, you can't really get into a fight with the market (unless you get a blow up doll that looks like a wall street tycoon and label him Mr. Market and then put on some punching gloves and kick his ass). How is it that women would vent after a bad day? I don't think I'd want to be around her.

  4. If you really have to ask this question, you don't have a red blooded woman in your life.

Women less vocal (about anything)? That's news to me.

  6. True, although there is ample research and evidence to demonstrate other differences between men and women. The EEOC sued Sears, for example, because it figured it must've been discriminating against women since Sears had only a small % of women selling various equipment retail. After Sears had to spend millions on lawyers (passed onto the customers of course) the EEOC had to drop the suit because it couldn't come up with ONE WOMAN who claimed she'd been discriminated against. The fact is that, GENERALLY speaking, men and women have different interests and aptitudes (along with different ways of communicating, different perspectives on relationships, etc etc). And that unnecessary and costly lawsuit was one example of refusing to acknowledge these differences.

  7. I vent by going to the boxing ring. As far as boobs getting in the way they don't cause anymore of a problem for me than lets say some traders large gut would for them.
