Why doesnt ADIDAS (ADDYY) trade options ?

[newbie_question... I was just curious ? Can someone please elaborate ... Its competitors do..

• Why would anyone trade equity options in a non-usa market?
• Volume is always very low.
• I don't think anybody on ET trades equity options in a non-usa market.

 

@OptionGuru, are you saying no-one on ET trades options on BHP, BIDU or BABA? Their volumes are low for you? What a guru!

OP: That's an OTC stock, they don't have options. If you want options on it trade ADS on Xetra in Germany.

You need to stop advising people, you have no idea what you are talking about.
ADDYY is trading on OTCQX, which is an "USA market" as you call it.

• The progression of this thread from post #1 to post #2 was leading to equity options in a non-usa market.
• My advise in post #3 is to avoid equity options in a non-usa market due to low volume.
• I stand by that advise.

 

There's ok volume for ADS on Xetra so your advice would be incorrect.
