right considering the market capitalization of all stock exchanges in the US is about 22 trillion dollars in equities and 38 trillion in bonds : more than 1 trillion dollars a year from the fed IS SIGNIFICANT IMHO. http://qvmgroup.com/invest/2012/04/02/world-capital-markets-size-of-global-stock-and-bond-markets/
hmm that's about the same time I got a blood clot in my leg. Don't worry the market should correct soon, as I had surgery 2 weeks ago to prevent another one.
I've been trying to find a chart (daily or weekly) showing the fed purchases vs the stock market. I haven't been able to find one. I would plot it myself but I haven't found a data set with Fed purchases either. I'm on their list to get the email every day showing what they buy and sell (and since Jan. 1 they have been a big buyer nearly every day) but I can't find the historical data. (I don't save the emails so I don't have the data either).
