Better yet, why not enter one of the numerous FX dealer contests, open up a collective2 account or other 3rd party verification site??? Show me the results from this, and I'll take a closer look... surf
follow more closely? why would he or she care if you did that? you have your own new method, unproven as it may be.
Ah ok, didn't ask about those, because thought you would not consider them legit enough. So such a track record you are fine with?
I do remember a few journals here at EliteTrader.com many years ago where traders provided "before the fact calls" and one particular trader provided broker statement with his before the fact calls to validate that he actually took the trades. Those journals last at least 5- 7 months in duration. I also remember someone posting a direct link to you specifically as a reply in a TA bashing thread where you then replied to say the trader (Op in the link) was just lucky and such couldn't be sustained. Further, those that had the journals...weren't part of some ridiculous contest called "prove it to me" nor were they willing to share the details of their trade methods. That somehow pssst off the likes of you, TraderZones, Daal and several others. At one point, TraderZones demanded access to the specific details (rules) of the trade method so that he can run his own test to prove or disprove the method. I do remember the OP then showed up in the TA bashing thread and responded via saying...*&ck off. Yet, I'm not sure if you folks got mad because such verification existed or if it was the fact that the OPs of those journals didn't care about the bashing that was occurring in other threads or if it was the fact that the Ops of those journals didn't want to share their trade method.
I'm not looking to get into this back and forth match but if you look up the name "geez" you will see more than 90 days of calls. There are lots of other guys too.
Really fascinating debate! IMO there's something deeper going on here that I don't think can be solved with any record of live calls or photoshopped statements. In other threads I've seen people speculating about different people in the P&L thread and whether their statements are faked. So it's not likely that any statements will end this debate. I've also seen cases where people who did prove some run of success be written off as not sustainable or a lucky streak. And if that person disappears from the net for a while the assumption is that that they must have blown up or quit trading, thereby giving more "proof" that their success was a freak outlier occurance. And what really takes the cake is how NoDoji has offered help to multiple struggling traders and some will refuse the offer and instead continue to carry on posting about how trading is impossible or about how they continue to lose money. So as I said the issue here is deeper than that. I don't think this argument will ever die off no matter what anyone ever proves online.
Yea, DV, that's much deeper. That's about inner beliefs of people "drawn" on their mental maps in a way they don't see anything other than through those beliefs.
...or some people prefer discussing over and over instead of choosing a legitimate strategy that works for them. It's more handy being at the center of attention claiming that something does not work than taking responsibility for changing behaviours or tools.
