Why does no one here give detailed trading advice?

Discussion in 'Chit Chat' started by hellothere, Aug 7, 2008.

  1. I think some of you with your "zero sum" and secret sauce edge nonsense actually do believe, if you gave some help to others, your whole trading world would come crashing down. Get a grip.

Take a look at T&S for ES sometime. Even if everyone here (which would never happen) took someone's EXACT method (which would never happen) and actually traded their little 1 - 10 contract trades at EXACTLY the same time (which would never happen) it wouldn't make one bit of difference to the trader with the original method. The market is simply too big.

  3. There is no magic formula. Nothing moves the same every day, every week, every year. Real traders watch the markets and trade accordingly.

You've just got to put in the time...

I think that the phonies are missing the point. No one said that they want blow by blow lessons. 15 years ago I asked the same question as the creator of this thread on a similar forum and was shuned in the same way by the big talkers. After years of hard work and research I am now a successfull full time trader. I have found that the obnoxious, loud and the not willing to share attitude, are usually a sign of deceit and charlatans.

If you cannot spend a few minutes of your day while trading to share an idea or how an indicator might be used under certain conditions to help a newbie out then you are either selfish or a liar.

Thats it for me on this thread. Any of those that are new to trading look for my up coming posts. I for one do not mind sharing.

Well, had you spent a little time here researching, you would have realized that you are wrong, there are plenty of advices here.

As an example, instead of crying, you would have gone long this morning based on both the Rule of 10 (in thread posted before the fact) or by the Pekelo's 2nd gap rule.

Now guess what! After whom did I name Pekelo's 2nd gap rule?? :)

P.S.: I am looking forward to your teachings...

  8. For a guy with 4 posts that JUST signed up here, you seem to think you know a lot about this site and what it does and does not contain.

also, the OP asked for "detailed trading advice". First off, not everyone trades the same way, same instruments, time frames etc etc etc. The list goes on. If someone wants detailed help, they need to first search for who trades what they trade and then do a thorough search on those posters to see if they are helpful or not. Then, the OP needs to ask questions to these posters and see what type of response he/she gets. If you come here with a certain tone or sense of entitlement, no one will help you. But honest and sincere newbs can get great advice here.

I suggest reading through archives since you are cleary very new to ET.

  10. This is really spam in disguise. When you do a google search on speed seduction, then it points to Ross Jeffries website.

This was a carefully crafted piece of spam. Ross probably got at least a 1000 hits and maybe some new subcribers. Good job Ross!
