Why does Leiberman hate America?

Discussion in 'Politics' started by james_bond_3rd, Aug 3, 2006.

  1. Pretty much for the same reasons Gen. Zinni ( Former Centcom Commander) hates America. Everyone with any sense thinks Bush is an idiot and this thing needs to be handled by someone else, whether it is a pullout or some other solution. If the goosestepping "Dittoheads" would see the light and abandon Twiddly Dee & Twiddly Dumber ( Bush/Cheney) and it is truly reflected in the poll numbers ( Can we get a +/- 2% approval rating?) we may see a change.

  2. Well here in America and most of the rest of the world, it is considered progressive and forward thinking to despise jewish people and Israel. Therefore Lieberman and his family - being Jewish, are being thrown under the bus by the rest of the Democrats. Of course his being jewish isn't the only reason why he is losing in the poll, but how he got as far as he did in the democrat party is beyond me, with other such democrats like Howard Dean (wearing a keffiyeh), Rev Jackson (hymie town), Rev Sharpton ("jewing up numbers"), etc etc

  3. That's not a fair accusation, the same progressive democrats who hate Lieberman are madly in love with another jew - Russ Feingold of WI who btw is also a big supporter of the state of Israel. Lieberman has no one else to blame but himself, Connecticut is one of the bluest states in the country and he no longer represents his constituency.

PS 80% of the Congressional Progressive Caucus voted in favor of the pro-Israel resolution 2 weeks ago.

what does this have to do with hating america?

those who hate america, hate america. not how a war is being improperly conducted.

i know this was obviously a sarcastic statement. but there are plenty that do in fact hate america.

    do you disagree...

  5. personally i would like to see his wife publically denounce the racist policies of the israeli hospital she sits on the board of. until then it is difficult to take them seriously.

  6. Because according to the right dissent=treason. For example:

"Howard Dean should be arrested and hung for treason or put in a hole until the end of the Iraq war!"

"The question we should be asking ourselves is why is the government allowing this traitor to enjoy freedom? Murtha should be arrested and tried for treason...not contemplating a run for a leadership position in the House of Representatives."

"[O]ne of the fundamental principles we have in America is that the president is the commander in chief of the armed forces and attempts to undermine the commander in chief during time of war amounts to treason."

According to these standards, any critic of the Iraq war should be tried for treason.

So should Lieberman - although he's late.

  7. The Tories have always been that way. "God Save the King", "America, love it or leave it", "Why does _____ hate America". People in the Stauts Quo will always fight to maintain the Stautus Quo and will vilify those who threaten it. Tory sheep are easily whipped up into a frenzy to "hate" the liberals because of 1) an inborn need to ridicule & 2) a brown nose mentality that thinks the way to get ahead is to go along. Liberals, on the other hand have always fought for these sheep despite themselves and eventually forced through legislation that actually made a difference in peoples lives. Why, How the flocks of conservative sheep keep returning to the fold is amazing but they do and their routine keeps repeating itself.

Do you think Deans rantings have aided our enemies, lowered troop moral or have worked at cross-purposes of our stated goals in Iraq?

Do you think the left had anything to do with our failure in Vietnam? A war which the left involed us in. How about the left immediately and often invoking Vietnam in comparison to Iraq? Good strategy for victory or defeat?

Do you think marching down the streets of Manhattan burning effigies of Bush dressed as hilter might embolden our enemies?

I've been against invading Iraq from day one. Unfortunately too few democrats voted against the Bush plan. And the Left is treasonous.
