Hmm, where do I start. -First of all this big kid on the block occupies 0.2% of the middle east (if you include the West Bank and Gaza), their enemies own 99.8% of the land -This big kid on the block is outnumbered 70 to 1 and that's against the arab world only, it does not take 1.5bln muslims into account most of whom are anti-Israel. -Obama is not going to cut the cord, first of all he is staunchly pro-israel, second it would completely nullify the US influence and leverage in the region. This money allows the US to keep Israel on a leash, don't make any mistake about it. -Last but not the least, while the $2.6bln aid is a pretty decent chunk of change, it's still a drop in the bucket for Israel which is a $200bln economy. Israel's most significant military victories took place long before the US aid started. (the aid was started by Jimmy Carter, no less as part of the Israeli/Egyptian Camp-David peace agreement). Oh and for you personally goldenarm - ignorance is NOT a bliss.
The United States enabled Israel to become the only nuclear power in the Middle East. With over 100 nuclear warheads, Israel ranks #6 right behind China. It doesn't matter if Israel is the tiniest country in the region or if its army is outnumbered a billion to one. Israel certainly carries the biggest stick. Without the threat of nuclear retaliation, Israel would get its ass kicked by its enemies. For decades, the US/Israeli coalition has prevented any other middle east country from achieving nuclear capability.
havent been to qatar, but been to dubai. Dubai may have many fancy stuff, but the regular peoples still the same. AND, dubai is kind of removed from the immediate area in question. i was specifically talking about East Egypt (Sinai), Palestine, Israel Jordan and Syria. maybe i should've clarified.
The United States enabled Israel to become the only nuclear power in the Middle East. Wrong again, France did. Your ignorance is staggering. Israel certainly carries the biggest stick. which it can't possibly use against its biggest enemies - Hezbollah and Hamas. And it can't use it against Iran either so this big stick appears to be quite useless. Without the threat of nuclear retaliation, Israel would get its ass kicked by its enemies. Really? Do 1948, 1967 and 1973 ring a bell? Three wars during which Israel completely destroyed armies of its enemies without any use (or threat) of the nuclear weapons. For decades, the US/Israeli coalition has prevented any other middle east country from achieving nuclear capability. Is that a bad thing? Duh!
What a spectacularly ignorant statement. You obviously have no clue about "social problems" if you really believe that nonsense. Your naive, libtard, peacenik pacifism isn't "much smarter" it's idiotic. The reality is that Islamic extremists must be exterminated, not placated. Anything less will fail.
The dude is on record to want Iran to have nuclear weapons. He thinks the world will be a better place.
Burn in hell terrorist scum. Israel kills top Hamas figure, escalating campaign In his last interview, recorded with Hamas TV on Wednesday, Rayan was as defiant as ever about confronting the Israeli military. "Oh fighters, know that you will be victorious," he said. "God promises us either victory or martyrdom. God is greater than they are, God is greater than their planes, God is greater than their rockets." http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090101/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_israel_palestinians
France's involvement in Israel's nuclear program ended in 1962. Israel didn't field a nuclear warhead until the 1970s. And the delivery systems for the nukes were US missiles. While the French started the research, the US surely enabled Israel to complete their nuclear arsenal. You should really pick up a history book. In your case, an ounce of knowledge is very dangerous.
