Why does California have so much industry/jobs?

  1. mark my words, next big thing in Mission Bay, and I've seen it work in Florida and there's no reason it can't be a success in San Diego. This is a no brainer, if you have a dime or a grand or even a hundred grand put all your money in it. I'm not saying it is a once in a lifetime opportunity, but now is definately the time to get in.

  5. people come here for the:

    - diverse economy
    - diverse population (anyone can fit in, no matter how odd or queer you are).
    - climate (there is no other state in the US with this climate)
    - diverse geography and natural scenary (beaches, snow-capped mountains, lakes, idyllic valleys, anything and everything)

I've had friends visit from texas, iowa, lousiana, oklahoma, and every one of them said Calif was the most beautiful state they had been to. Some of them had never seen a hill or valley in their life. they expressed desire to move here, until I told them how much a house costs.

and that is the main thing wrong with this state: the cost of living in desirable areas. If not for that, we'd probably have 70M people living here

  6. here's how it goes in CA on a Sunday. Do you want to go to the beach or the city or the mountains?

If we go to the mountains we can be all alone and smell those beautful redwoods. If we go to the city we can check out that festival and maybe hit that vietnamese restaurant everybody is talking about, but if we go to the beach the kids can swim or just play in the sand and I can fish or we can just fly kites.

that's what I hate about CA, it's always so hard to decide.

Credit ratings rank among US states #48. California. The Golden State suffered from the nation's second-highest unemployment rate, plus its foreclosure and bankruptcy rates are among the worst. Governor, senate, house controlled by the democratic party.

  9. yeah we got that, everybody knows California is a bad state. The question opie was asking is if that is so, why do so many elect to reside there? Especially high tech businesses.

You got an answer for that?

Or is all you can do is post bad facts because you don't like democrats?

You got any facts about why people like California?

Let me guess, it's because it's easy to get food stamps there.

In california you habe everthing! Mountains, great nationals park, snow, deserts, beaches, weather, wine, tech, oil, natural resources, beautiful ladies, surf, laid back lifestyle, fashion, fitness, ports, huge international commerce, movies, tv sitcom and you are next to awesome states like nevada, oregon and washington. Califa is one of the few places in the world where you can surf in the morning and get a nice sun tan and then you can go to ski in the snow at big bear in the afternoon.

The bad thing is that they have become to socialist and have been losing like 2 millions peoples over the last 5 years.
