Why do you trade what you do?

    I trade index futures.
    Because of the leverage, more bang for the buck.
    Because of better tax treatment.
    Because I do not have to do endless research.
    I can short on a downtick.
    And last but not least.....
    I make more money:D :D

    I prefer Nasdaq equites:

    1) Been trading them for a long time, and used to it.
    2) Most transparent of any market.
    3) Much more control of my orders.
    4) Can trade with fractional pennies. Very important for chiseling when daytrading.
    5) The core of my "stable" are Nasdaq, I know more about these stocks than my wife :)

    6) I have a small market making background, and that puts me on better footing for pre and post market
