TWS is Java based, and can run on any system.

  3. Good thing - it can be run on any system. Easy to develop and maintain (you just need to take care of 1 version)
Bad thing - it requires more resource to run it. Slower than C++

By the way, do you think Tradestation is a good program (despite its bad brokerage services)?
Which version is better, 2000i or 8.1?

  4. Bad thing when it isnt adaptable to the way the OS works. There is a lot to be said about OS Specific apps.

However TWS is very useable. Had to adapt to the way the program works. It would be nice if I could change a few things about it via preferences so it is more Aqua friendly.

But that wont stop me from trading with it. :)

I guess one of my many weaknesses is I am big on how software looks and feels. I can tolerate a windows program becasue it is a shot in the dark with how they look and feel. :) Just not with mac Programs.

TWS is a better implementation of Java, though I would love to get rid of the menus inside of windows deal. Thats Bad.

Just one of my many opinions.
