That's your post at 10:55pm, Here's Baron's reminder at 10:09pm A Reminder for All Members Since there has been some recent "tension" among a few members and our moderators, it's probably a good time to revisit a few basic rules of participating here. ALL MEMBERS SHOULD KEEP THE FOLLOWING IN MIND: When you signed up to become a member of the site, you agreed to a very simple set of rules regarding the content of your posts. If your posts violate the terms of our member agreement, your posts will be edited or possibly deleted. If you continually post content that violates our rules, you will be banned. It's really very simple. There is a code of conduct here, and if anyone does not want to be accountable to that code, they should not register and participate. And for those who are already members and for whatever reason no longer want to abide by our simple and reasonable rules, they should move to a different online community. If a member wants to totally waste their time by posting a bunch of garbage, that's up to them, because I (and the moderators) will not hesitate to hit the delete button. It makes no difference to me whether a person has put countless hours into their posts. I can delete one hundred posts just as fast as I can delete one. In terms of warning a user, I can't guarantee that there will be any warnings at all because I don't have time to treat adults like children. Our rules are very simple: No Advertising (unless you are a site sponsor) and No Crude Posts. A crude post includes those posts that contain excessive profanity, personal attacks, vulgarity, sexually explicit content, etc. I think we all have a basic sense of when a person has crossed the line. But for those few who are so out of control, or just plain stupid, that they don't know where the line is, the moderators step in and show them where the line is. And again, if any user does not like where we set the line, they are free to either not join this community or they can simply post on other sites where there is more "freedom" to post whatever they want. I use MY NAME to post here, not a moniker or nickname, I use my name. My name and my history are factual. It's easy for someone, such as yourself, who hides behind a username to take public information, press releases, factual information, and a twisted view to make unmistakeable and fruitless attempts to smear and attack me personally. What's even more amazing, is your wreckless and unwarranted action to do it again, almost and hour after Baron's REMINDER. It's obvious to me that you must have seen Baron's post (IT WAS #1 on the home page), but for whatever reason you carried out your action, despite those facts. You can look back at all of my posts and what you'll find... is me answering questions about me, and offering information. More importantly, helping people, what I enjoy doing in addition to trading. There are many individuals (ET members) who can attest to my helping them for FREE. They may not speak up in an open forum, because the very point of Baron's post MAY be a testament to their fear or disgust in posting their opinions in an open forum. So instead, they send private messages to ask further questions or agree or disagree with a point I made. Maybe they're too afraid or disgusted with the history of a SENIOR MEMBER using profanity and malice leveraged by their seniority to discredit them. What is a Senior Member? Not only is it someone with many posts, wouldn't it also be someone you can look up to and ask for help? Someone who knows their way around ET, and doesn't post text that contains "garbage, excessive profanity, personal attacks, vulgarity, sexually explicit content, etc?" I think I know the answer. Based on Baron's post, it appears that many don't know the answer to those questions, or the purpose of ET. Many of the ET members whom I have spoken on the phone with, and respect me, may lose respect because I have replied to you. However, I will never let someone of your actions go on without a reply. Here's the deal PTR. I have neither the interest nor the time to bring any credit to your pitiful, cantankerous and malicious attacks on me, by acknowledging them or answering them. It would be interesting to see you, setup a new username with: your NAME (the member frmrly known as PTR), and make available the equivalent and depth of information that is available on me. One thing is for sure, you're hope to win any malicious debate with me will always be shattered by one fact: When someone researches me they an OPEN BOOK with a reputation and someone who may have shaken their warm hands and watched me trade or teach. When they research you, all they find is someone with "X" # of posts, who wrecklessly bashes others, and nothing else. May the trend be with you, PTR...
I suspected there were problems of some sort when WorldCo began closing offices like the one here in San Diego. That is why I asked the question, I have no clue what WorldCo is doing on the East Coast but they are pulling out of the West Coast from what it appears...
Ladies and Germs, I've given this thread a bit of latitude but let's keep it friendly, and avoid all further personal attacks. If you're unable to do that, then please do not post here. Thanks.
Ha, I'm not the parasite, I don't lie and cheat for a living I'm not a guy like you that can rationalize anything by blaming the victim. If you are a toadie to these creeps then you aren't high enough on the food chain to call anybody a parasite. I could only hope that you would become a real trader and go and "work" for one of these companies and then come back. I was fortunate enough to miss out on these firms because other people spoke up, and I looked into it and they were right. Otherwise I wouldn't say anything.
If there are so many bad posts about proprietary firms, perhaps there is something wrong with the business model they currently use. Anyhow, I wouldn't be surprised if most prop businesses would soon disappear from what I hear. And if there is any ground to sue prop businesses for misleading information, it is up to each individual trader or group of traders to start a lawsuit. This is US and we all benefit from the freedom of speech and the freedom of suing.
do you think that these prop firms have any blame?, or anything to do with the success/failure rates?
