I wonder what the chances are that msfe has actually read the Project for a New American Century report - at least beyond the contributor's list, which he may previously have tried to employ in an effort to spread (presumed) guilt by (Jewish) association. I wouldn't argue with most of this article but I wouldn't go too far down that road that the success of an army depends mostly on the kind of society you have. The Third Reich had a pretty effective military, Stalin's troops showed incredible bravery and toughness and the Red Chinese were all we could handle in Korea. Military success has more to do with resources, technology, leadership and picking your wars carefully.
