volume bars? and if so, what makes a particular volume bar superior to another volume bar? just trying to understand the underlying basis of imposing an artificial construct to price. thank you, surf
I repeat . . . We are not talking about Tick charts. When you can figure out the difference, get back with us. HoustonMark perfectly answered your question. (CONSTANT VOLUME BAR CHART INCREMENTS not Tick Bars) Not superior just different based on trading preference; Scalp, Intraday, Swing, Postion or Long Term.
He can't wrap his head around the concept Mark. He's not familiar with "problem solving techniques". He can understand "Time Bars" cause he was forced to learn to tell time in grade school. He can understand "Tick Bars" cause he was forced to learn ticks in trading. Now someone explains to him that those ticks bars are actually made up of different amounts of shares or contracts per bar and he dummys up. The concept of breaking down an equation or problem to its least common denominator was forgotten by him many many years ago.
I made the mistake of thinking his question was a real one. It was just another attempt to bait ProfLogic. I would appreciate it if surfer would stop doing that and if ProfLogic would refuse to respond to him.
Thanks Bill.... I too thought his original question was legitimate... Anyway, I won't contaminate what is an excellent thread with any more replies to non-sense....
