gm PL Ah well ...another day, another dollar. I will compare the esignal and ensign vol charts when I have a moment, unless of course you or someone has already down this. I like ensign vol charts except for the annoying habit of leaving small bits of indicator painting the current bar as it updates in real time. I am forever minutely toggling to scrub the screen and it is not as though I have nothing else to do. How goes your MC. Forgive me but I have forgotten your data feed.
A 89pc chart will display 89 changes of price versus ticks of price...real simple if you think about it. For a pc chart the price must change values to be counted as one against the 89 total count.
Rather than show multiple trades at the same price, it just shows when the price changes up or down. Don
I use eSignal/Multicharts. The new version of MC is wonderful an when it's attached to a Quad core system running a 64 bit OS and 4+gig of memory it screams. The only improvement I'm looking forward to is getting hooked up to my own dedicated fiber next Spring. Other than that I love this configuration.
Thanks as well Don. I'll have to play with them but my first reaction is that it is going to be hard to top the CVB charts for eliminating momentum noise. I can see their usefulness though.
I use eSignal for data and that is where the limitation comes from. I get 30 to 90 days of data for a new chart. I archive my data though. Multichats allows that and I have alost 3 years of Intraday data on about 44 different commodity and futures markets.
