  2. thanks for the examples, WD. however, with all due respect, how do they clarify anything? the same effect can be achieved from compressing a standard chart--- what am i missing?

    best,

You are missing a lot. But since you are a profitable trader in your own right, I don't think you need to worry about these crap.

    Guys,

This endless debate about which one is better will lead to nowhere. Advocates of constant volume bars, myself included, explained in details why we prefer volume bars. I personally trade momentum and volume bars help me to identify it most clearly.

There is another great method, described on Spyder’s futures thread, where 5 min bars are being used. But the thing is that the reason for 5 min bars is to be able to draw channels in order to have an overall understanding about what the market is doing right now. All trading decision are being made within 5 min bar, utilizing several tools like volume, DOM, tick chart and others.

So the answer which one is better, is IT DEPENDS on what one is trying to do.

Please let’s stick to volume charts trading discussion on this thread and cut all BS posts.

    Thanks,
    redduke

  6. Actually, your questions have been answered very specifically and clearly. But you place the responsibility for your failure to understand elsewhere and resort to badgering, which is in itself a form of hostility.

Since you are the only one who doesn't understand any of this, at least consider the possibility that the problem is yours.

that's because you are approaching the matter with dog headed stubborness. We know your agenda.

Your "purely academic and journalistic interest" is horse shxt. You think the rest of the forum readers were born yesterday ?!?! Your junvenile mind might believe you can get away with a few holistic words, but you are merely displaying your blatant lack of cognitive abilities.

  8. hmmmm. im the only one who doesn't understand how "volume charts" give a trader an edge?? I'm the only one who doesnt believe profpastlogic's perfect track record?? im the only one who doesn't understand how adding a variable creates a non varying environment??--among dozens more points.

keep on believing brothers, the holy grail is right around the corner....

  9. As to your questions involving understanding, yes, you're the only one (note that you even have trouble phrasing your questions properly).

As to belief, that's not likely to result until you achieve some level of understanding, which seems unlikely.

  10. wow, no agenda here--however your leader has one. lack of cognitive abilities?? the personal attacks from the true believers continue. funny, you don't like to learn that the same chart effect can be achieved by compressing a regular chart??

thanks for the material, although not what i wanted, it will work.

    best wishes,
