Why do people pay for Cable?

  2. Why not just subscribe to Netflix, Hulu +, and Amazon Prime and call it a day? Under $300/yr..
    What else do you need?

  3. If you're really "bold", you can look for empty homes in wealthier suburbs that still have an antenna mounted on the roof..... and go up there and "grab" it after dark. :D :eek: :p :cool:

  4. yes, and rounded off with a ROKU 3 and a bunch of added channels it's great: TV for web surfers

    I am going to build an antenna for fun. Thanks for all the suggestions. In the short term, I got this

    For the channels that come in, it works extremely well for me. HD looks great. I still don't see channel 5 (NBC) or channel 2 (CBS), but I noticed that channels came in slowly. Maybe when I get home tonight I will have those too.

    Hello. I've had Netflix before and I actually enjoyed it on my Ipad. With the combo above do you still need basic to get your local channels?

    I just did some research. I had never heard of this ROKU. Just so I know. I can buy a ROKU, get Netflix and amazon prime and Ill get pretty much everything I get from UVERSE? I like watching hbo and cinemax series, like homeland and stuff like that...thanks
