Why do people love/hate Texas so much?

  1. Texas still has a wild west anything goes persona. In some parts that is real in some it is perceived. Some people like that others don't

Some people like the idea of being seen as independent and a non conformist others and others abhor it.

Texas has a lot to offer if being independent minded, non conforming, and a little bit on the wild child side is your thing. If not you probably will not like many areas of it.

In general, most people I have come across that do not like Texas either don't like Mexicans, don't like "red necks", don't like the idea of guns being a part of life, and usually have a elitist attitude.

  2. I grew up in Texas and now I'm a Concealed Carry permit holder in the free state of Nevada with a vault full of assault weapons who has employed a once illegal but long since legal immigrant for 20 years.

    Red Necks suck dick.

BTW: I think maybe "elitism" comes with making a few sheckles in your life. One deserves it.
