Why do people believe day trading will get them rich quick?

  1. You have lost. It's only your reputation, but you have lost.

Loss leads to grieving. You are at the first stage of grief.

To help you navigate the stages of grief, here they are:
    1. Denial
    2. Anger
    3. Bargaining
    4. Depression
    5. Acceptance

I'll throw in some advice in the mix. Pay up or shut up. You are beginning to lose your amusement value and you no longer have any credibility to challenge. There is little left to interest me.

  3. I know many of you do not believe this, but I once had enough money to buy that Bridge in Brooklyn.

  4. You are right, of course.

I was beginning to feel guilty at so easily defeating someone with so little skill for these things.

I think the post above will be the last unless I have badly underestimated his personality and he actually comes up with the money to call my bet.

Time to get back to work and do my end-of-year accounting. I love the results. I hate the paper work.

  5. I have no reason to doubt you. I believe what people tell me unless they have proved they don't deserve it. If it affects me than I use Regan's approach. "Trust, but verify."

edit. in the year 1883, brooklyn bridge value at $15 million. If i had a time machine and went back in time, i can easily purchase brooklyn bridge.

  8. Thanks for your response.

I'll look back through my flash drives and see if there are a few annotated V, P charts. If I find them I will poste them.

The sequence of annotations that is unfolding is an inverted saucer and its importance is that a RTL from the beginning of the Depression will become tangent to the suacer. This will be designated as point 3 of the Depression.

Over the next 10 to 12 years after that point 3, the Depression will play out its last (third) move.

Some intermediate technical points during this move will include Volarility Expansions and the corresponding acceleration of the RTL of the Depression.

I wasn't tricking you by asking you to contribute a chart for annotation. I do not believe many people have the capability to see the markets. It is a very good idea to install and maintain the platforms required to be able to see the markets.

  9. It has been known for quite a while that I am paid to post on ET.

Jake Bernstien's agent has also been soliciting me to be part of his speaker's bureau. The most recent rate is 19,000 for a two hour appearance plus expenses.

As recently, I have declined the TradersExpo to trade live on one of their public real time forums. Our occasional, by invitation only, sponsored global meetings have coincided with TE conferences. Sorry to say, I missed the most recent one because I could not travel safely (for health reasons).

Mark Brown is not a colleague of either me or the PhD's. It is public knowledge that Spydertrader is top gun with respect to our methodology and approach.

For my life I have maintained an amateur standing in the financial industry. It has always seemed very logical to me to be able to do what I want; so I did.

Here in this post you see some humor and the going rate for this and that.

Most of the myths about me have become very distorted over the years. Getting paid to post is one of them.

We do have to sweep the webb quarterly to terminate the "bait and switch" vendors out there. And there is always some kind of activiyy to intrude on my computers. Today, for example by computer thought comeone else was opening this computer when I tried to go online. The work around being tried was extinguished and my machine shut down and restarted properly.

  10. NoDoji

    NoDoji

You know how there are all these "personality tests" that help schools and employers choose the potentially best people for a particular job?

This statement alone would result in an automatic exclusion for the job "Trader".
