Why do Europeans give up sovereignty?

  1. It's the Orwellian "democracy" where black is white and war is peace and elections are dictated. Don't you remember one country tried to have a referendum, tried to not put up with it? Then there's Iceland which no one is talking about anymore.

  2. Sounds oddly communistic, in this new world vision of yours, does the individual matter less than the greater good? Someone must suffer if the rest benefit? Just curious since these are two characteristics of communism. Where exactly does communism or fascism end and "trumping all other considerations" begin? What about life liberty and pursuit of happiness, if those at some point start interfering with "progress" (what are you progressing towards in that case?!?!?!), do you still stand by your opinion or which do you choose in that situation, when forced to choose? Is a free market free for people to have control over their lives using capital as a tool, or is it free for capital to control people's lives using humans as a tool? Big difference. Real big.

  3. They are just crapping their pants rates going higher.

Politicians will do everything at this point of the game.

Expect a summit in 1 year where will be promised to the world all member states will achieve a 10% surplus and citizens will shit nothing but golden eggs.

  4. Of course it is. If people could wake up and smell the coffee, they'd understand (1) throughout history, nearly all of the world has been some sort of monarchy, oligarchy, dictatorship, or communist-like society, and (2) America originally was the exception.. the bright, shining light of opportunity and freedom.

But over the last 100 years or so, we've morphed.. via Progressivism and Liberalism... to be more and more like what the rest of the world has been.

    GREEDY BASTARDS!!

Before my time, but I believe there were 2 world wars fought in the last century, something to do with preventing Germany from taking over Europe.

    Were they in vain?

I'm living in one of the eurozone countries and actively looking to move somewhere else, things can only get worse for this region now that France and Germany decide everything. There are also the political differences - northern europe common sense vs. "old europe" corruption.

is the UK,again, the last holdout against the German onslaught?

you can expect nothing good from the French as 2 world wars have shown.
