Yes, the existence of God is not the topic, but the problems with the account of original sin in Genesis are so overwhelming that they prove that Christianity (and the Christian God) is false. If original sin is a bogus concept, then for what reason did Christ die? If mankind was created not as a perfect being, then God is responsible for sin. If so, then people are ultimately not responsible for their sins--God is, since God created them that way.
The Genesis story suggests God messed up big for the second time. He later tries to put things straight by instigating yet another bizarre plan which entailed putting himself on earth, changing his name to Christ , committing suicide with the idea that mankind was now somehow forgiven for His own mistakes with the Tree of Knowledge.
