I would look at the data from repressive, Communist nations with a very skeptical eye.

It's funny. More than a few morons on this board think 9/11 was a hoax yet they accept Cuba's health and mortality figures at face value......

  2. lol, precisely. The US is a monster but they've never met a fascist dictator they didn't love.

  3. Adorable! Better yet, whip out pictures of executed Chinese prisoners and recite the names of the millions of souls who died during glorious 5 year plans. For best effect, do it when discussing the estate tax.

  4. Gee, and I thought this thread was about Cuba. (See thread title.)

Apologies for bringing you back on topic, comrade.

  5. I couldn't care less about Cuba personally, as I said it would be ironic if even their health care is better than that of the U.S.

Europeans for instance live longer, die less of cancer, and are generally happier according to a broad set of statistical measures. But of course, Europeans are, in reality, non-Americans, as are Brazilians, or Singaporeans, Japanese, etc. Thus, they are all dirty lesbian muslim communists who eat their own children.

White America stacks up very well against Western Europe and Canada. There's negative genetic and lifestyle considerations contributing to African's in ALL nations lagging behind in terms of infant-mortality and longevity.

There's no compelling evidence that socialized health care lengthens patients lives. Obviously senior citizens in America ALREADY have socialized care via Medicare.

And of course your right about Islam, i.e. the Religion of Peace©. If it wasn't for the evil Christians ruthlessly killing peace loving Muslims the world would be one big rose garden.

How funny that Mike Moore who out-eats several nations a day would attack America's health industry. Naturally idiots like you will pay to see his "movie" ensuring that he makes more off of "Sicko" then an internist earns in several lifetimes.....

  7. Apparently, you care enough to use Cuba as a prop for your specious arguments.

"Europeans for instance live longer, die less of cancer, and are generally happier according to a broad set of statistical measures. But of course, Europeans are, in reality, non-Americans, as are Brazilians, or Singaporeans, Japanese, etc."

And Americans die less of alcoholism than Europeans. But what does that really mean? All of your alluded to "evidence" is cherry picked with your forgone conclusion of "Amerikkka bad, rest of world good" which means that you don't even have an argument but, instead, have a series of emotional assertions. As for Europeans being generally happier, the very opposite can be proven by a number of surveys.

"Thus, they are all dirty lesbian muslim communists who eat their own children."

And here, we come to the admirable crux of your brilliant points, comrade.

Healthcare in Canada, yes its manly free here. If you consider free to mean 30%+ of tax revenue. I do not.

The quality of service is considerably lower than what you can get in the US. But we believe in equality for all, so people with money equally screwed. They do not have a choice to pay for private treatment and have to go to the US for that. To permit private health care providers is to upset our socialist sensibilities.

The failure of the socialized system is assured as the population ages. The health spending will approach 50% of tax revenues in 20 years and 75% in 30. I take pleasure in the fact that all the socialist assholes will be forced to face reality after resisting it for so long.

Ps: There is nothing wrong in helping the others. Trying to make people equal is completely wrong, and always fails.

  9. I wonder how many cuban women are smoking "the pipe" well into their third trimester.

  10. Really. England and America have the highest rates of alcoholism and alcohol consumption when compared to the rest of Europe (but yet Americans don't live as long as the English).

Anyway, this is irrelevant. You could offer arguments against, say, universal healthcare based on projected future tax burdens. If you presented a case that the suffering of the lower classes and those in the middle who declare bankrupcy due to health care costs is necessary to provide excellent health care for those who can afford it, you would at least have an ideologically consistent position. These are what intelligent people do when they create arguments.

You likely think in cartoon dialogue bubbles with big bold text. So, I'll leave you to that. Ta.
