You asked for it. The last statement ("The whole Africa is kind of testimony for that.") I find very true, for these reasons: 1) Africa as a whole is scraping the bottom evolutionary. Promising elected leaders turns out to be corrupt dictators that cares not about their people. Aid is very often stolen by corrupt politicians and leaders with no moral qualms. But why does this matter? Because Obama to a large extend was raised and indoctrinated (good or bad) in Africa - in the failed machine known as Africa. He attended a school I believe was Muslim. 2) Such measures as crime and income blacks are hugely disadvantaged to whites. I think the black community - as a collective - has problems that only they are responsible for. Since the civil rights movement, blacks have seen themselves as victims, thus taken away the element of responsibility towards themselves; "We're not to blame, since we're victims. We don't have to change, they have to." The civil rights movement were on the right track, but that thought holds no merit in today's society. When judging a man of whom we know very little, I think it is only rational to judge him from what might be true, in this case his background. I think it's a good thing to give somebody the benefit of the doubt; but giving a man the presidency certainly is not a matter of giving somebody the benefit of the doubt. I would ask the same questions had Obama been of any other race. That he happens to be black is not important to me. In the same way Obama was hyped into office because he was black, wouldn't it be natural to denounce him for the same reason? I mean, if you think something is fundamentally wrong, wouldn't it be natural to take the opposite stand - maybe in an effort to expose an enormous hypocrisy from the opposite isle?! I don't know of Cesko's intentions, but I find it a very smart thing to do. I would question Bobby Jindal the exact same way, had he been hyped into office. Fortunately, Republicans tend to be less hype about things like this. So, all in all given the situation in which we stand, I do not think that that exact statement necessarily have to be racist. It might be, but I do not know Cesko and I can't judge whether he is a racist or not... and if I could, I couldn't care less. True racists are not worth spending time on. Hunting down people who just might, at some point, maybe have said something that might resemble racism slightly is even less worth anyone's time. And I realise now how I just spend much too long time writing this. I did not proofread this text. Forgive me my ignorance.
Well, getting back to the Original topic. It is really very simple. It is the global economy that took down America & the rest of the world!! A man I know explained it well, when the chinese started entering the American tool & die field a few years back. How can our people compete wage wise with a communist or dictatorship country? In the countries like china & vietnam the government soldier comes to the tool & die makers house, & says you will take this much money or we will shoot you!!! You simply cannot have a free society compete with that!! Only idiots think that could ever work!!
I agree with some of what you wrote but think most of it is overly simplistic or flat-out wrong. A few quick points: Corrupt "leaders" is far from an African problem... what about Mao Tse-Tung, Chiang Kai-shek, Stalin, Lenin, Hitler, Tojo, Ho Chi Minh, Pol Pot, Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il, Saddam Hussein, etc.? Not sure what else you meant by "Africa as a whole is scraping the bottom evolutionary" but have you thought of looking beyond skin color to things like climate and natural resources? Locusts were a dietary staple in the Middle East before they struck oil and they're not black but they do also live in a very difficult region. I've spent a lot of time in both places and trust me, you'll never fully grasp this point by just reading or thinking about it. I think Bill Cosby best describes the problems in the black community because he's really smart and an insider, as opposed to an outsider with an axe to grind and probably a lot less brainpower. As for Obama and cesspool's racist statement: Let's vote for a black guy because we all know how well blacks (generally speaking) can manage their affairs. The whole Africa is kind of testimony for that. No objective, educated person would say that's not racist... it's very simple... instead of judging Obama's potential by his personal merits and demerits when more than enough was known about him to do so, cesspool judged him based on a pejorative racial generalization. Political correctness has nothing to do with it because that comment is way over the line. And if you don't get that I can't help you. Your argument that not much was known about Obama holds no water... where were you for the two year campaign? I learned more than enough to vote against him based on his inexperience and ideas. It's a logical fallacy to argue that racist statements are not racist because there are differences between the races and/or because political correctness is out of control. Issues of racism aren't always black and white... there are gray areas but this isn't one of them.
Thank you very much. I mean it. Here is why: Half white, half black idiot considers himself black. Why? It suits him well. And I am a racist calling him black?? Funny logic. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=159600&perpage=6&pagenumber=16 Trader666 I am happy you finally figured out the answer so I dont have to bother. By the way I don't need your answer. It went from "stupid theoretical construct" to "tear it down" in your words. Meaning you had enough time to figure out some clever answer. You were able to realize racism is not "black and white" problem?? Your insistence on definition of racism contradicts that. Only by that stupid definition you can call those statements "racist". Words don't mean a shit to me. I am Czech. Now you can use any derogatory word against my nationality as much as you want and I still won't call you a Nazi (going by the definition) it would be just plain stupid.
Cesspool, I figured you'd chicken out because you know your stupid theoretical construct is easy to tear down. And because you're a coward who makes racist statements then hides behind arguments that don't even apply. Definitions don't mean that gray areas don't exist and just because gray areas exist it doesn't mean that clearly black or white issues are gray. You can hide behind all the bullshit you want but it doesn't change the meaning of what you wrote, it only clarifies your original intent.
I didn't chicken out dumb-ass because as I said I don't give a fuck about definition which is all you can rely on. In reality you know shit about my "original " intent reg. "negro" word. Logically first statement doesn't prove anything about second statement. You can only make assumptions.
I think the reason the world is going to shit is the same reason this thread is going to shit... think about it.
Andrasm, Wow, where to begin. I wonât even dignify the other ignorants with a response as they are already on ignore. You said â04-05-09 10:55 PM There is a "virus" spreading in the US and across the Atlantic, this is fuckism, stress related to uncertainty of the future and helplessness. Sadly, as conditions worsen people snap, and there are a lot of them reading the news.....This is going to get worse and do not blame the victims who snap but look at the causes for the madness and desparation. Why do you think EU has lesser of this phenomena? Would it be that there is a better social safety net to all while in the US it is selective and dysfunctional?âââ People who think like you are exactly what is wrong with the US (and many places in the world). There is a virus here and everywhere and it is the end of personal responsibility. Yes, I guess I shouldnât hold people responsible for their actions and we should just accept people who âsnapâ and have a bad day as ok. What a joke. The EU has less of this stuff going on because they completely believe in supporting those who wonât take responsibility for themselves and thus need the government to take care of them. Which is where we are heading here because of ignorant people like you. The current Nobama admin wants to end all the reasons people came to the US to begin with, to be given an opportunity to thrive without having to completely support those who wonât support themselves. To thrive and prosper. Next you said, âI don't hate the USA. I am from a Germanic stock and I am fucking proud of it (born in Budapest but never mind that, I am a krout)! My daughter was born here but I am still a "krout", I love the USA, mainly the people but I hate the "system" that is causing people to snap and do unimaginable deeds. Cesko and people like him think they will be better accepted or liked if they shove their heads down the sand, I on the other hand want to honor the people of the USA by showing them ideas and concepts the mass media conveniently ignores.ââ We donât accept ignorant people who like you two put their head down and donât actually pay attention to what is really happening. And why would they as you both believe the collective should take care of you since you are not responsible enough to do it yourself. You and the media are all caught up in âchangeâ and are also ignoring what is really going on. Of course expecting someone who thinks like you to see it is pretty unrealistic I suppose. Keep blaming the system and âthe manâ for keeping you down. Exactly the logic used by those who donât pay their bills (and CC) and try to justify it by saying how it is not their fault and it is the fault of greedy banks, lenders or whoever. Next you saidâ âSay what you want but....the English/American "system" of hard core capitalism and pop culture (my word FUCKISM) is over in my opinion...Obama is voicing that feeling and most people (common folk) in the USA concur with that..... The USA (as a country) exported (puked) that vile, bile to the rest of the world in the form of McDonnalds, Coka Cola and Hollywood crap. Most of that is repulsive, cheap unhealthy SHIT. Not good for ANYONE (except for corporate profits)! The french and germans see that the Britts too to some extent.... Yes, I could have moved to Germany to live but I am here and the wind of change is here too....ââ You and the ignorants like Nobama because he is voicing the feeling of the âcommon folkâ who believe they are entitled to the good life without any work on their part. That they deserve a home even if they canât pay for it. A great movie saying said "What the American Public doesn't know is what makes them the American Public." Truer words were never spoken. Of course that makes them susceptible to "talk about change" because they don't know any better. That the government should take care of them because they wonât take care of themselves. Blaming McDonalds and everything else for âunhealthy shitâ is also convenient for a victim like yourself. No one forces anyone to eat McDonalds, drink Coke, buy a home the canât afford, etc. But again, you donât think you should be responsible for your own actions so it is hard to argue with someone so removed form reality. Next you saidâ 04-06-09 12:43 PM It is not about "choice" but predatory capitalism - anything for the all mighty buck(incliding selling their babies). The way coca-cola and mcdonnalds practice their business is not good for the world. Coke is a vile, unhealthy drink, mcdonnalds is JUNK (I mean real shit) food....the way they are trying muscle into other businesses is also discusting. I would never buy a coffee drink from them, just out of principle....I could write a book on mega capitalism and the enviromental, health concepts (garbage creation etc) a book but time is short and others have beat me to it..âââ If you donât like a product, DONâT buy it. Wow, that is a novel idea. But many make their OWN choice everyday. Those who think like you will them blame McDonalds for their weight gain. The many who think like you and BLAME everyone but themselves for everything that happens to them is exactly what got us here. NO responsibility. Please go back to your home country. We already have too many ignorant people here already. The best part is this thread is just another example of how few people on elite trader actually trade. Because no real trader blames everything in there life for all the problems they face except for where they really lie: staring back at them in the morning every day. But the entertainment value here sure is high. I could go on but I think I have made my point. Good luck to you because you and those who think like you will really need it. Of course, someone else is to blame when you get your usual âbadâ luck. BM
Big Money -- GREAT post!!! All too often the ones posting are the irresponsible losers who can't make sound decisions or their own way.
