Why are we broke?

  1. It appears that Obama, whatever his true ideological core, is at heart a pragmatist, not a hard core leftist like many on the right suggest.

So far as I can see, he is hardly any farther left than George Bush. The only difference seems to be "0" wants to tinker with marginal tax rates. Seriously, what would be different?

Folks, the system is just about totally dominated by multinational corporations. Both the Genuine "left" and "right' are perpetually frustrated because candidates give them lip service, then as soon as they are in office they begin genuflecting to the multinational corporate agenda.

Obama, like Bush, like Clinton, is a puppet. If he had not been a puppet, big money and corporations like GS would never have gotten behind him.

I can only imagine how angry the anti-war left must be at "0".

At least the ones who are able to think beyond corporate media spin (somehow Obama's wars are "liberal" in nature, soo unlike evil "right wing" bush.)

    what a joke.

  2. 9 million people lived in the south at the beginning of the war. There were 258k deaths. Of those 9 million about 25% were male age 15-40 (remember that many 15 year olds fought in that war) So thats about 2.25 million males. Thats around 10%.
