  1. Yes you are. You are in second place behind Bitstream.

    Congratulations.

Anti-American's will be drawn to this thread to try and defend themselves.

  2. Okay, from now on lets's say what country we live in and have
citizenship in so we can compare each other's TV habits like MTV
    or whatever.

    I live in the USA.

Where do you live gerry875? Or do any of you even have the guts
to say where you are from? (I doubt it)...

  3. You know, Bitstream... either I have gotten you really mad or you

  5. "All" of my explanations? Interesting...

Yes, a lot of the world is "outraged" by the war in Iraq. So I guess
that means posters like Bit can act out anyway they want and demonize
    everything about America in general.

    Completely pathetic.

  6. I think you are mad in the first place.

Did your parents forget to feed you properly when you were a
little baby in Italy? Or did you mom or dad drop you on your head?

  8. yes, all:

If I felt like the whole world hated the US, the first question I'd ask is "What the heck is the US doing to make people feel that way??". You asked "What's wrong with these people?". That infers that the US can't possibly be to blame for their anger, and that none of the responsibility belongs to the US.

I don't follow bit's posts, so I have no comment on what he can or can't do, other than to say if he lives in the US he is awarded the right to free speech as defined by the constitution.

I certainly don't "bash" the US in conversation. What I do find surprising, however, is the amount of resistance and gaff I get when I voice very valid concerns about where this country is heading. I get the same "this country is the greatest nation in the world" crap over and over again, and people feel like the US can do whatever it wants, whenever it wants and everyone should love it. That scares me.

  10. The question here is:

Do you really know "what direction" the country is heading? If you
are sure it is heading the wrong way, why do you believe it will
    keep heading in that direction?

For one thing, the US is mostly a 2 party country. The Republicans
have basically beein controlling the country for the last 6 years.

So guess what is going to happen next? The Democrats will do
whatever they can to steer the country a different direction.

Checks and balances. No one party of people have constant control
    of this country.

I just hope when the Democrats get back in the White House, they
don't turn this country back into a bunch of whiners and weiners.

Imagine what things will be like if someone like Hillary Clinton gets in office...:(
