Why are Republicans such a nasty bunch ?

  1. Think Karl Rove. Think Swift Boat. (They did a previous number on Gore, but hadn't attached a name to it back then.) And now, the misrepresentation of facts about Obama and his case continues in a manner that would make Rove proud. The guys who have to lie are usually the ones who don't have much of a case.

  2. That actually seems pretty civilized.

Nobody's screaming and shrieking at each other, no O'Reilly moments, nobody standing on the Senate floor telling others to "fuck off", nobody calling each other treasonous -- darn near seems high brow.

  3. I love it when Democrats start yelling "fascist"... Hitler's party believed that people were children of nature, were pro queer, at least at the top, believed that rights came from the state, not from God, were internally socialistic and externally anti communist.... there is a perfect match from Hitler's party to the Democratic party.... one more reason to shun the whole idealogy....

  4. I think you should have a grownup explain your own post to you.

Meanwhile, the slightest disagreement with a Republican renders the offender unpatriotic.

  6. Can you explain "an OReilly moment" please I've watched both Oreilly and Oberman. Maybe you can show me a youtube clip of one.
Is it just because you don't agree with what he says or is he really "Nasty"
I know oberman is, but then maybe its just becasue I don't agree with much of what he says.

  7. I really doubt all disagreements are thought of that way. Only the Mainstream media and much of the democratic party's blantant wanting of the US to actually lose the war in Iraq.
Stop and think, do you really want Bush to be successful in Iraq and the outcome to be a Great? Only you can answer that question to yourself. Answering it to me is meaningless.

  8. Wanting the US to lose the war in Iraq? Are you serious? Are you for real?!

When a trade is going nowhere near as planned and you recognize a need to exit, does that mean you inherently want to lose? Or does it simply mean that you see reality for what it is rather than the glorified fantasy that you'd like it to be? And if you refuse to waver from your visions of sugar cookies, then how much more money must you lose on your bad trade (and how much more innocent blood must be spilled on both sides in the case of a bogus war)?

  9. Took me two seconds on youtube, but strangely this seems far more polite for him, only telling Americans to shutup for example -- he has cut people's mikes off who he disagrees with while yelling at them.

[O'Reilly to Mackris, quote:] If you cross FOX NEWS CHANNEL, it’s not just me, it’s [FOX President] Roger Ailes who will go after you. I’m the street guy out front making loud noises about the issues, but Ailes operates behind the scenes, strategizes and makes things happen so that one day BAM! The person gets what’s coming to them but never sees it coming. Look at Al Franken, one day he’s going to get a knock on his door and life as he’s known it will change forever. That day will happen, trust me.

(For those who don't know, Roger Ailes is not just the president of Fox News but was also a media consultant for Richard Nixon.)

[O'Reilly to Mackris, quote:] If any woman ever breathed a word I’ll make her pay so dearly that she’ll wish she’d never been born. I’ll rake her through the mud, bring up things in her life and make her so miserable that she’ll be destroyed. And besides, she wouldn’t be able to afford the lawyers I can or endure it financially as long as I can. And nobody would believe her, it’d be her word against mine and who are they going to believe?
