well, more volume usually means more movement, no? i mean any gap will be closed by people making money out of the difference in roll-over arbitrage thing. i don't think the ES moves the SPX
Definitely true. There are traders who can't explain chaos and fractals, but do make a healthy living from the markets. I just find a mathematical background to increase the chances of success, or at the least, reduce the chances of loss.
