Oct and Dec are lower, not higher. At least when I look. o_O

Depends on how you hedge. But big difference here is that there is not a horde of wannabee experts claiming that equity hedges are uncorrelated with the to be hedged instruments. That defeat the entire definition of hedge. The claim of inflation hedge for cryptos is laughable.

volume in further out months in futures does not determine their prices. Forward valuations and hence expectations do.

I replied to Suntrader who suggested it was related to rate hikes.

No doubt. But I bet some crypto folks bought some puts as well. Ever think of that?

No, I was responding to YOU, who then responded to ME, so I responded back to YOU. OP is not in this equation.

Geez, can't you follow a thread context? *slaps Suntrader with a floppy fish*

Let's start over. I, first responded to OP, with CME settlement page attached - because, although I didn't state it, had no idea what page they attached. Still don't? You then responded to me and I assumed you looked at official CME webpage. Guess not?

But you are right, you responded to me as I said, yet referred to OP's attachment. Slap yerself.

    No biggie. :)
