Why are Canadians so Interested in American Politics?

  8. I was in Canada for most of the month of August and did not get the impression that most Canadians are that interested in our politics. Obviously, the vast majority of Canadians live within 100 miles of the border, America is their biggest trading partner, we are still the largest economy in the world, and we have as much global influence as anybody. It makes sense that Canadians would be more interested in our politics than we are with theirs.

    Or maybe....and this is going to sound wild, an English based trading forum will attract foreigners that speak English and some will find their ways to the politics section because it's a topic that's also of interest in other countries.
