I agree with the others, Mav. You hit the nail on the head! They've exchanged their white robes and hoods for green hats and tights and now think they are Robin Hood.
That we're talking about distributions doesn't affect my point . If one "black" guy is smarter than you (and I'm quite certain he or she needn't be a genius), then our populations (in a statistical sense) overlap. Therefore, we're close enough to get along today.
"Get along"? Theoretically, sure. But WTF has that got to do with the fact that there are undeniable average group differences?
We do for the most part but a particular group of people have carved out quite a profitable cottage industry in making sure we don't get along. Then of course there's the democratic party pulling the black community around by a nose ring saying "look how'es goods we treat you!".
It's really sad that many white people here have to keep beating their chests that somehow, in their minds, they are superior to another race. A truly advanced species, as we human beings are supposed to be, would be more productive focusing on the 99.9% of similarities of the races, and work to make the world a better place. It's obvious that there will be an acceleration of a single species, if you will. And, don't freak out, all I mean is that as a population, we are seeing more and more what they call mixed marriages. And, I say, great. The stigma has pretty much gone away, much like the stigma of being gay has and is evolving. Much to the chagrin of so many here on ET, but facts point that way obviously. No return to the aryan master race crap, ever I hope. I am hopeful that the extreme bigotry will finally burn out with the younger people. The next generation, 20 somethings, seem to care less about race, color, sexual orientation, and all those things that hinder progress.
It's not that many, six or so, but they post a lot. What else can you do when you cannot talk that shit outside your house.
^^ Which is also disconcerting. I would like to think that they really don't espouse all the seriously anti-societal rhetoric in real life, one has to wonder. And, if it's all pent up hostilities and or even worse. This could lead to things much worse than just bigotry on a chat board. Not accusing anyone here, just acknowledging my fear that some can just be one 1 liner away from losing it. I see the teams here on ET, and when it comes to politics, well, it's fine I guess. But I do worry when the racism, anti-gay, anti women, hatred gets out of hand.
