I am talking about basic economic concepts. Grow the economy, grow supply, allow competition and consumer choice. And prices will go down. If we only had 100 barbers, you don't debate about what needs to be done. You call for more barber schools and barber shops.
Alternatively the Barbers association could hire a good lobbyist, get a rider attached to a must pass agricultural bill calling for strict licensing of barbers only obtainable by passing a test written by the ABA (American Barber's Association), and imposing heavy fines and jail time for anyone caught cutting hair not so licensed.. Or obtaining clippers without a prescription from a licensed barber, and require that the FDA forbid access to hair products, shampoo etc. without a barbers prescription.
