Why actively trade ETFs?

Discussion in 'ETFs' started by deronwagner, Aug 22, 2002.

  1. I agree, overall, with both the benefits of the 300K+ I/SPI/Holder shares. Also, the e-mini is the most liquid (and probably volatile) vehicle of all.

Like Morpheus-Boy, I've found only those that trade over 250k/day to 'worth' trading - swing or day trading.

    Hello,

I trade ETF for daytrading (QQQ, SPY). Now I am also trying to find system for swing trading of sector ETFs (like HHH, RTH, PPH, etc.).

I publish every my setup with charts on my trading server's discussion board which is in local language (czech) , but type of trade, chart and exits are also readable by foreigners (I believe).

If there is anybody interested , can see this "live" setups on this url: http://www.traders.cz/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8

I will be pleased to receive any comments from ETF traders.

I don't speak or read Czech. I clicked your URL and I need to register to get anywhere!!

Care to post few of your daytrades? I'm thinking about ETF's as well as the emini's. I'm still contemplating which direction I should head.

    Hi,

I am sending copy of my posting into forums on traders.cz.

Review for 24.06.2003 BMO (Before open)

    Open positions:
    -------------------
    ** IYR Short, entry 84.50, trail stop to 83.45, target 83 - 82.5 - 81.6.
Comment: 1st target already done, looking for second as sector looks weak now. Based on todays intraday action I could close trade also somewhere in between of targets.

    New set ups for 24/06/2003:
    -------------------------------------
**WMH Long, entry: 39, stop: 38.34, target: 40.40-40.80, sector is now strong, looking for buying pullback on 38% Fibo

**TTH Long, entry: 27.95, stop 27.60, target: 28.80 - 29.2, looks strong now, I want to buy this pullback when it confirm move to upside.

    Deron,

Out of curiosity, have you ever tried to pair trade the SPY/TLT?
