I scaled in the way down, bot some at 10.40...I love trading this thing... I am long UVXY and short puts and calls. This DC thing lifted volatility. I like my position. But next, I just use wide stops, UVXY can shoot to the moon...
If you were around when Obama was elected you would have been saying the same thing. If you were around when Bill Clinton was elected, you would have been saying the same thing. If you had been in any of pretty much the rest of today's first world countries when they elected leaders you would insist were "socialist" you would have said the same thing. And what do you know Chicken Little, but the sky didn't fall. At what point do you reevaluate your predictions in a given area when they repeatedly and universally turn out to be wrong?
The USA is no longer a country as properly understood, but rather a smorgasbord of cultural, racial, and ethnic groups which have nothing in common with each other - no common culture or shared history, and a highly unstable and questionable shared future. Oligarchic global capitalism is the one force capable of holding it all together. We'll see how aggressively the Biden admin pursues pro-labor or class-based economic policies. My guess is, not very - they'll opt instead for a full assault on the conservative white middle+working classes. Wall Street donated a lot of money to Dems and will be expecting a return.
Yup but my trumper brother-in-law has. Many Explorers', a couple of Lincoln LS's and recently leased a couple of Ford Edge's. Previous Edge had engine replaced. Last LS spark plug wires constantly an issue and tranny skipping. So far less than a year old Edge ok. Otherwise POS's all.
It was irrelevant who won last night . The mkt’s still in the throngs of a massive bubble rarely seen in history. None of us know what ends this and when but we know what the aftermath will be .
You're making the fuel-tank argument -- the "we were driving on empty 10 miles ago and have not run out of fuel...don't worry about what the gauge says". Fact is America is moving towards socialism. Prominent Dem politicians (AOC, Warren, Bernie) call themselves socialist. Socialism is growing in popularity. Capitalism is seen as greedy and bad. That's a big change from 1996. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/14/few...-americans-are-positive-about-capitalism.html
Sure, I mean Germany and France and Norway and Sweden and Spain and Canada and.....well I could list nearly every first world country with programs and leaders you would almost certainly consider "socialist" if they were here in the U.S. and have been for decades now. Shockingly, they're all still first world countries! And I was around in 1996 and am somewhat ashamed to say I very clearly remember the right decrying our imminent descent into socialism just like you are now; because at the time I was one of them! Maybe you're young like I was then and were raised conservative and haven't had the time, experience, and exposure to enough of the world to come to your own independent conclusions. Which is why I asked how long it would take for your Chicken Little cries to come to nothing before you realized you were being a Chicken Little. I noticed you weren't actually able to answer that, so to set a good example I will. It took me 8 years to realize the whole apoplectic "socialism" screaming of the Republican party was bullshit. I admit I'm not proud it took that long, but I guess better late than never. There, now you have a challenge to beat my time for how long it takes to come to an evidence based view of the world. Good luck!
Pres Obama was going to take everyone's guns, shut down fracking and raise everyone's taxes. Never happened. Be afraid, be verrrry afraid wingnuts.
