I thought about releasing a pick or three a day a little while ago. Every now and again, I take a few friends to the track/OTB for a day of R&R, profits and fun. But it's like I tell them, I'm just lucky. They are always amazed at how regular we are at winning. I am in Dallas right now. I am planning to go to LoneStar on Wednesday with a few friends here. I have just made some proprietary changes to my software to reflect the improved win profile for the exacta, trifecta, superfecta investments. I am looking for another one of those major red letter days that I've been having of late. But it's like I said, "I'm Just Lucky!"
There is snow and cold weather there and he's not home in Chicago right now. He probably won't return for any extended stays until the weather gets better. At the tone...
FLASH!! - Don't know how true it is yet, but I just got off the phone with a buddy back home who tells me that the organization is SERIOUSLY contemplating asking MJ to come fill the bill. Wouldn't that be an odd duck?
Krause's departure was the best news in Chicago sports all fiscal year. Damn it's worth a citywide celebration. And IF MJ returns... this City rocks again! I say JUST DO IT Bulls... get MJ for GM. Ice
P.S. just called over to Brandon in season's tickets... they have been calling and trying to get me signed up since November. Seriously thinking of popping for some tickets, now. And if MJ does come back.. they're worth twice what I paid.
It was about time. But seriously, now that the Bulls actually do have some talent in place, I was starting to get worried that Krause might "overtrade" the Bulls again like he started doing in the past 2-3 seasons. I really sensed alot of desperation in that guy's actions. Also, when they couldn't sign any of those free agents two years ago, that SHOULD have been the writing on the wall...Loyalty to Krause by Reinsdorf definitely extended his career 2 years, but now I think some real upside is in store for the Bulls. The simple fact that they have a winning record at home is a pretty good sign. Curry is finally becoming aggressive and Chandler has been strong most of this year. I also think Donyell Marshall was a great find. Only one player on that team is a real bust, imo, and that is Eddie Robinson. I have never heard of a player who spends so much time on injured reserve with such relatively minor injuries. I think Paxson would be a good choice. The guy has a real diplomatic nature and he is a sharp guy. Plus as a former NBA player, he has a good feel for the game and the players needs. I dont know if that Jordan rumor has any credibility, but if he does return, then it would really tarnish Krause's legacy even more, and further prove what a destructive force he was on the Bulls in the final years of the dynasty. My bet is John Paxson.
