Frrom Chicago, stay away from these places.

Watch what you put in your mouth.... In this Sunday's Chicago Sun-Times there is an article listing Chicago's DIRTY DOZEN (12 of the
Nasties Restaurant's With Health Inspection Violation Codes.

    (1) Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits - 818 E. 47th Street tops the list,
with 25 critical violations from July 2005 to July 2006
INSPECTORS FOUND LIVE ROACHES, MICE DROPPINGS BELOW THE SERVICE
COUNTER, LIVE "WORM-LIKE" INSECTS IN THE BISCUIT AREA, BLOWFLIES,
BORIC ACID ON CONTACT SURFACES, AND PLUMBING PROBLEMS. COLESLAW WAs DISCOVERED BEING STORED AT 48.8 DEGREES, WHICH IS TOO WARM TO KEEP
BACTERIA FROM GROWING. THIS FAST FOOD JOINT WAS SHUT DOWN FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS. (you can probably bet that all Popeyes have sometype of violation)

    (2) La Baquette North - 3325 N. Milwaukee, with 17 critical violations

EMPLOYEES NOT WASHING THEIR HANDS, RICE PUDDING INADEQUATELY COOLED AND PLUMBING PROBLEMS.

You mean the one day of summer there, July 4th?
Ok that's a Buffalo joke but doesn't it work for Chicago as well?

    F. Sam's? I'm positive you didn't. On the up side a French movie called The Hairdresser's Husband was awfully seductive/naughty.

    Hi Guys,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I just noticed some messages posted here about sharing office space. Well, I happen to have room in my office in Highland Park. I have had the space for a couple of years. We used to have quite a few more traders in the office. But slowly , over time, they have faded away. We are currently running SBC fiber optic line. bandwidth is no longer an issue. ;-) Myself and 2 other traders are in the space currently. We all trade different products. Mainly futures, but some stock trading. Treasuries, currencies, metals etc. Good guys, nice space. If anyone is interested, pm me. Happy to have you come up for a visit.

  9. Trotters is overrated and overpriced.

Friends took me there a few times (I prefer other restaurants if I had a choice), and I always come to the same conclusion.

The food is good but you can get the same quality for a lot cheaper elsewhere.
