Now the homosexual activists want PG, one of the biggest advertisers in Russia, to stop advertising there. To combat what they call "horrific discrimination" there. http://www.businessinsider.com/activists-to-pg-address-russias-lgbt-discrimination-2013-8 While there have been cases of homosexuals getting beat up in Russia, keep in mind that the only law the gov't has passed on this issue is a law that prevents anyone from distributing homosexual literature to kids under the age of 16. That's it. Homosexuals adults are free to practice their deviant sex there , free to openly join the military, etc. So we get continued hysteria from the lgbt crowd over this law and about how the international community needs to "do something". Meanwhile in muslim saudi arabia, homosexuality is illegal and punished by imprisonment with a threat of decapitation. I wonder why the lgbt community doesn't denounce islam and the countries that make islamic law the state's law? Why don't they engage in acts of civil disobedience there?
Meanwhile, here in the US, CNN is bringing back the 'Crossfire" show, and will be putting Sarah Cupp, someone who agitates for the homosexual agenda, on as the so called conservative side of the show. And on Fox, Megan Kelly, also someone who agitates for the homosexual agenda and harangues those who disagree, will be moved to the featured 9pm slot and take Hannity's place.
You raise some excellent points. Somehow, muslims have achieved official PC victim status. Clearly they rank below homos, who now occupy the top slot, but very close to if not above blacks. It is a fascinating question how muslims managed to not only ascend the PC ladder, but they also managed to kick Jews off the ladder entirely. This may be hard for you younger people to believe, but 30 years or so ago, Jews and Israel were very high on the PC hit parade. Any hint of anti-semitism could be deadly to your prospects in academia, the professions or business. Now it is so commonplace it is almost as acceptable as disparaging Christians, particularly Evangelicals. Of course, there was also a time where attacking Christians would be unthinkable for anyone in public life. After all, everyone knew we were a Christian country founded on Christian principles. Now many leading democrats proudly disolay their utter contempt for Christians, at least for those who actually believe in something. Much of the hatred of Christians of course stems from the Bible's many and unambiguous denunciations of homosexual behavior. Which leads us back to islam, which makes even fundamentalist Christians seem like models of tolerance. Why are muslims exempt from criticism? Part of it no doubt is traceable to the enormous amounts of money various arab countries have donated to leading universities, which are not known for biting the hand that feeds them, no matter how sordid it is. The universities set the tone for the whole PC community. Buying them off gives you a lot of leverage. A good bit of the sympathy for muslims also stems from 9/11. How can progressives not root for a group which attacked the uS and inflicted thousands of deaths in the financial community? Then there is Iraq and Afghanistan, two conflicts that triggered the left's traditional sympathy for any enemy of the US. No doubt the media are also strongly influenced by the tendency of annoyed muslims to forego writing angry letters to the editor and instead just stick a knife in the offending journalist. Who wants to take that risk?
I have been wondering how Muslims ascended the PC ranks. Great analysis on the university donation tie in.
Good points indeed. I would also add though, to not overlook yourself and the long ancestral line of bigots from which you have arrived, as a substantial cause of hatred for Christianity.
Is this not reverse "bigotism". Isn't this leftist intolerance. Are there no acts which cause you to draw the line? Why is your line superior?
Is it? Do I not tolerate his opinions? How the hell would I know? What do you mean? Are you asking me what I am willing and not willing to tolerate? I'd hope your prepared to hear the answer to that. Who said it was? Did you think it was? Which line are to talking about?
