Who would've thought a country of atheists has more morals (and balls) than us?

Since LEAPup has me, the "blasphemer," on ignore I can express my dismay at those who actually believe the supernatural events in the Bible, without upsetting him/her further. The Gospels, in particular, are more less filled to the brim with supernatural happenings that are even more unlikely than Santa Claus coming down your chimney on Christmas eve. Since none of these supernatural events can be true, why would necessarily any part of the gospels be true?

I have no idea, of course, whether Jesus was Gay or not, though he could have been. And what would be wrong with that? The evidence for Jesus being gay is in the Gospels, but since these books in the bible are obviously fictitious, there really is no evidence that Jesus was gay, though in jest I claimed he was. Some took this as a serious allegation, which was humorous, but others, LEAPup in particular, took great offense at the idea of a gay Jesus. That's disturbing! Regardless, there is one thing I can say with great confidence, though I don't think it will bring much comfort to LEAPup, and that is that there is a complete lack of evidence that Jesus wasn't gay.:D

For the moment, let's suppose he was gay. Is LEAPup going to now disown Christ as an imposter! ? He didn't seem to happy with the idea that Christ could have been gay. It is interesting to me that the Pope was recently far more accepting of gays then LEAPup, when he said "Who am I to judge." Good for you, Mr. Pope, I say, and shame on you LEAPup!

An observation of mine that I will call to anyone's attention that might chance upon this post is how, for centuries, religion, and not just the Christian religion by any means, has been successful in shutting off criticism. In medieval times tongues were cut out. Later anyone who questioned the authority of the church could be burned at the stake or drowned. None of that is considered acceptable behavior today, so the church, ever resourceful, has fallen upon new methods. The church has succeeded in engendering wide acceptance of the idea that it is exceedingly impolite to question anyone's religion. This works amazingly well. For the same reason many people can not bring themselves to hang up on a telemarketer, they can't bring themselves to speak the truth about religion. They don't want to be impolite! Fortunately I've overcome my reticence.

Does anyone know what the 'anti gay' legislation is that has caused such world wide denunciation?

The huffingtonpost article referenced doesn't actually say and that should be a clue.

According to an article i read yesterday, the law prevents homosexual materials from being given out to children under the age of 16. That's what has brought on worldwide condemnation from the world's perverts. They want all countries to boycott russian olympics and vodka and who knows what else all so they can give out homo propaganda to kids.

    Un freaking real.

Look at the bright side of living poor. You have a new opportunity to meet women once a week...at the laundromat.

Did you know there are roughly a dozen trailer parks in Lubbock? Seems like a lot for such a small city.

  9. Hey that's a good idea, except I have a washer, damn it. I may make a trip to the Laundromat just to scope it ok now that you mentioned it. Luckily I'm not to poor to back up my talk though. Heading out on a short vacation lucrum. You'll have to excuse me if I don't respond for a few days. Life is good, it really is.
