Who will be the Dem candidate?

  1. Then you probably don't care for the Bush administration either?

Putting that aside, the lack of candor in general has always been one of the more objectionable parts of politics for me. However, I really do believe we have reached new lows with the current administration. I have no idea what the right replacement is. I'm not wedded to political parties but I think we, as Americans, have a huge problem with our system and if we don't get it fixed very soon we will be totally hosed -- I mean that in a third world sense.

    Just my $.02

  2. Don't forget that Warner signed off on the biggest SPENDING increase in the history of the state. Even worse, his campaign jingle was the tackiest in the history of elections. Would someone from SC or MS think that some tech dude from NOVA by way of Indiana and Harvard Law is southern??? NOVA is about as southern as Wilmington, DE.

  4. I agree with this mostly, except for the fact that I think anyone nominated on the Republican side beats Hillary. Early polls already show this to be true, but two years in advance means little. Its just my opinion.

I believe Hillary wins the nomination unless she accepts the party's wish for her to step down. She is too popular among Democrats, and too far ahead in raising cash. I don't think she is silly enough to have a Dean style melt down either.

  5. Can you post a link to those polls? Just curious to see who did them and when. My biggest wish was that H. Clinton hadn't been so backwards on the war. Badmouthing aside, she "might" make a decent President. I still don't understand why people loathe her so much...

  6. The Republicans desperately want Hillary. I suspect they will do all they can to help her get nominated.

  7. The Mormons have made no secret about the desire to take over the government (they don't quite phrase it that way). Look for plenty of cronyism and nepotism if this happens.

  9. Cheese

    Cheese

Look, I support the Republicans .. no surprise there.
I don't hate Hilary Clinton at all. She is one gutsy calculating bitch and she would be one mother of an opponent for any Republican candidate for President.

Big mistake to underestimate rival contenders.
Never never under-estimate your opponent or enemies.
Remember they will be either at your throat or at your feet.
Choose which .. because you can choose.
    Prepare, prepare, prepare.
    Then just deduce and anticipate.

  10. They were discussed on CNBC about a month ago. They polled people with Hillary vs a number of different contenders, and she lost every one of them. She easily out polled among Dems only though for the nomination. I don't know who conducted the poll, so take it with a grain of salt. I agree with it though. She is one of those people you either like or hate. I don't think she has a chance in national election.
