who watches 24?

  1. Shocking!!! (NOT..besides, it's bull$shit anyway).

While it may be unfair to stereotype all Muslims as terrorists, in today's world, is it not realistic to have some semblance of what is the sad reality of who it is that truly comprises the terrorists Americans need to be most concerned with?

I spend very little time ever worrying about Basque separatists attacking American targets. (for example).

History is what it is. 9/11 happened. Bali happened. Munich Olympics happened. Madrid happened. Khobar Towers happened. Attacks on US Embassies in Africa happened. WTC episode I happened. Al Qada is real.

24 is in it's 4th season. People watch it because it is well produced and well written. It is about an ANTI-TERRORIST UNIT! They had non-Muslim terrorists already. Is it unreasonable to reflect the reality of today's world?

The complaints FOX got were probably premature anyway. With 24 shows per season, they will find a way of finding some way to work a few Muslim heroes into the script. They've done it before IIRC.

    Peace,
    RS

  2. Yeah, Fox should begin to point out the many contributions modern Muslims have made towards advancing science & medicine.

    *giggle*

1.2 billion Muslims, and not one Muslim doctor skilled enough to treat Yassir Arafat during his last days. That says it all.

  3. Yes, when the season is over many of the complainers will look silly.

Remember when they introduced that guy Reza in season 2? They were like, "somewhere in this city is someone with their finger on nuclear bomb." Then they immediately showed Reza driving in his car and you thought it was him because he looks middle eastern. He turned out to be a good guy.

I predict now that the evil mom (Dina Araz) is actually working against her husband in the long run. She's like a female Jack Bauer, doing what she has to do to stop something big in the future. BTW, so far she's my fav new character.

  8. Bolts

    Bolts

Watched again last night. I missed the previous one, unfortunately. So I'm a little confused. Am I supposed to cheer when the government tortures Americans, or is that meant to be bad?

Those looked like real Marines at the end. I wonder how much of my tax dollars are going into this cute little show.

  9. a lot of shows and movies have used the USA military. i saw a show about this. the government says they don't mind doing it if the military is portrayed in a positive way or something. i guess they consider it a commercial for them.
