There's a lot of garbage about Gann and his methods. Most use these methods incorrectly and the pursuit of these courses and methods will for most result in lost time and money. You don't need this to extract a consistent profit from the market.

I'll send you a link via pm. Like I said most of the net stuff is rehashed crap and a waste of time. The most important idea to harvest is the relationship of time and price and how they can be measured as the same. Don't visit the Gann yahoo groups and don't spend any money.

Really, it can be figured out without spending a dime.

  7. foxrouge, is that a 'Tiger Balm' icon on your charts ?

it's possible that Tom Joseph's 'Advanced GET' - GannElliottTrading - charting program
first introduced Gann angles in the form of the Gann Box - a dedicated tool in AG

I've never seen any info published about the GB excepting individual users' charts and
their comments, and most info I've seen seems to be the same in that users have learnt
to use the GB by trial and error, that the tool is more of a 'multi-trendline' tool than it is
    about 'GANN' methods

I've attached a Monthly chart of the SP500 - don't anyone bug me about all the lines !!! -
which may give you an idea of AG's GB; also on the chart is a Correction fibo and the
yellow and blue Ellipse tool and a grey rectangle MOB
a GB can be drawn manually in any charting program that has an Angle tl tool but likely to
have to be a chart dedicated to that tf since usually Angle lines don't scale with a tf change
and use the HC / LC as well as the H / L

"Re: Gann Square: Wallace, Andy Bushak [?] uses the Gann Box from a major pivot
he then makes the 1 X 1 line plot near the trading opportunity, and he makes sure to
plot the box in 45 bar increments45,90,135,180,225
The number on the top left is the points from the bottom of the box, and the number in
the lower right is the bars from the start of the box to square" Henry

Thanks. I've been studying Gann for a few years. I'm not sure if what I do is Gann but it is based on what I have read and it works. For those not interested in the free stuff at my website, you can look at my public list at Stockcharts.com. http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/Favorites.CServlet?obj=ID1744189

I originally came here after Googling Gann and found a post about a "Gann Box". I was interested in this box since it appears that it isn't Gann but created similar to Gann. I was only curious.

I'll start a thread elsewhere for those who want to discuss anything from Gann.

    Thanks.
    Andy
