Who is it that does all the volume in these low priced $3 to $5 stocks such as: NT LU SUNW CIEN JDSU LVLT You know the stocks I'm talking about and you know they are usually among the top volume equities traded. Many of them are beaten down but they have been for a long while and the huge volume is on-going. So are these traders simply scalping low priced stocks that they can trade big blocks (maybe 10k to 50k) of without fear of the company going belly up tomorrow or what's your take on who it is trading and what there strategy is? Peace
these traders move big blocks of shares for a few cents. 50K shares x 3 cent NET= $1500 only takes a few of those a day.........
many do. the problem is that whenever the ECNs are changing their policies and cost structures, its often to the detriment of the liquidity traders. i follow CIEN, wouldn't day trade it but cien has swing potential.
