Schizo is a great contributor to this Forum. He probably just wanted a change. A change is as good as a holiday they say. More power to him!
Well, I was only kidding about ON. The market looked weak last night as it briefly broke below 4000 and then popped right afterward. So I decided to lighten up. In hindsight, I think I did the prudent thing since ES did go up as high as 4025 in RTH. Anyway, good thing that I've went back in long this time because it's made a nice pop since. Not sure what that last spike is all about though.
Imagine eating the same thing everyday for 30 years. Change is actually good for one's health IMO. Otherwise it just becomes a stale routine. By the same token, trading has its own health. What habits you develop and maintain will ultimately affect the health of your trading. Just my 2-cents.
In the context of SUCCESSFUL trading... You've described boredom, or burnout. In the case of boredom, that's a destination... start the day, make or lose (a lot or a little) money, end the day, do it again tomorrow. In the case of burnout... assuming you are right handed, clicking the mouse with your left hand will NOT solve the problem. Find something to do besides trading that makes you smile. Learn to code!! LOL!
I have a feeling that his method is hard to code. I think those zones are highly subjective. Sure it looks "obvious" when you draw it, but to put it in mathematical formula would be challenging.
You should take the monies, Lebowski! You've been through a crazy cycle. Start with a fresh slate tomorrow!
FYI I do have an algo and it day trades way better than this noob. Anyway, swing trading is something that I wanted to explore for a long time. It's definitely different from day trading and poses a challenge of its own, but I think I can make it work. Let's just see how it goes.
