An accident that in a car is a minor fender-bender can kill you on a bike. The fun is not worth the risk with all the crazies on the road. I owned 4 bikes, almost lost my life on the last one, and walked away forever, feeling lucky that I beat the odds.
I love bikes. I've never commuted regularly on one and doubt I ever will because I find city/suburb riding too boring to make it worth it. I usually only encounter these areas for a short period on the way to the country or mountains. Though I didn't ride at all this summer, I'm still on my first street bike, an 04 Yamaha FZ6. Have racked up over 11k miles. But I hope my next bikes are a new Triumph 675 Daytona and/or a new Triumph Street Triple R. I also love the new Ducati Streetfighter, but all the reviews say Triumphs triple engine is the most fun.
I sat on one this Friday. Salesman said "that's you". I said, I know. Something to work for. Anybody know who the patron saint of the stock market is? Because, I really need to put a prayer together, ASAP!
My brother tell me to post this. Wow, really crazy and the man said he will never do this again not for 10 million dollars. Scroll down to the video. http://motorcyclebreakfastclub.posterous.com/motorcycle-rider-impressive-or-just-crazy
Back in the days i rided a yamaha bike. Was very cool and funny. I raced the mountains up and down, jumped around......... But finally one day the police caught me, because i havent had any licensce. I sold it then for 100 bucks, was a old one, but a good one.... Just like this here. These days i only ride this bike here, i just feel better with it....
