Who Really Caused The Deficit?

  1. This is ridiculous. First, virtually all those policies now being called "Bush" this and "Bush" that were bipartisan efforts. Both wars? Medicare drug program? TARP? All had heavy democrat support. Now however, when the media is desperate to absolve obama of responsibility for massive debts he's run up, they are Bush policies. Obama had no choice but to sign the credit card bill for them i guess.

Bush obviously does deserve blame, but he's not running any more. Obama's policies would lead to even higher deficits. We are already mired in the slowest recovery in decades, in part due to his policies.

  2. If Romney is the asset-stripping vampire Obama seems to think he is, then he is definitely the guy I want running the next war we get into. Bush took over a cocuntry with the world's third largest oil reseves, and we got nothing out of it, except the bills for rebuilding the country.

I support the Trump doctrine. When you go to war and take over a country, you strip its assets. At the very least, you control those assets. You don't let them join OPEC and take part in ripping off American consumers.

Now we have Obama who lets Karzai order us around in Afghanistan like he took us over. What are we apologizing for this week?

  4. so now you want to rape and pillage. isnt this what germany was doing during world war 2? heil hitler.

dont forget bush trumped up the charges against iraq. how easy would it be under your doctrine to trump up reasons to go to war just to steal assets.

  5. The Republicans had the White House,The Senate, and The House of Representatives when Bushs tax cuts passed and when Bushs medicare expansion passed

The Republicans had The White House ,The House of Representatives and 49 Republican Senators when the homeland security act passed (which spawned massive government growth)and when the Iraq war resolution passed

  6. Romney wants to make the Bush tax cuts permanent, cut taxes even more, increase the 700 billion a year defense budget, wanted to say in Iraq and cant wait to start a war with Iran

He says hes going to pay for all that and balance the budget with spending cuts alone...and republican voters believe him

  8. I'd like to know. How did the crazy idea get started that Republicans are more fiscally responsible ?

  9. Republican politicians say it and republican voters believe it even though Reagan and Bush 1 tripled the national debt and had record deficits and Bush 2 took a balanced budget and turned it into a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit and doubled the national debt

  10. When you have a philosophy that deficits don’t matter, fiscal responsibility is easy. Why is it that during the Bush years deficits were no problem, but now they're a big problem? The problem is every administration loves to spend, spend, spend and spend some more. All for the greater good, of course.
