Usually when I see someone label someone as FASCIST or MARXIST...they're from the U.K. A country kicked out of the United States of America a very long time ago...people today still trying to divide America.
    • I myself have never lived in a fascist community but my grandparents (mother side) in France have during WWII. :D
    Fascist

Fascism is a term often loosely used to describe military dictatorships and extreme right-wing governments and organizations (or individuals) known to be either violently anticommunist or violently anti-Semitic, or both. These are often important elements within fascism (as are the institutionalization of sexual repression and strong antifemale, antihomosexual and profamily biases), but the term should be more precisely confined to those mass movements and political parties that originated in the capitalist economies of Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, culminating in Mussolini's Italy, Hitler's Germany and Salazar's Portugal.

It is characterized by a hatred for liberalism, socialism, democracy, internationalism and the parliamentary system; by extreme patriotism and aggressive nationalism, and hostility to other nations and races; by a glorification of power, violence and war; by dreams of conquest and expansion; by a hankering after a supposedly glorious past; by paramilitary associations; by the myth of the "leader" to whom superhuman qualities are attributed; and by the creation of a convenient scapegoat - usually Jews - for all social, national and economic ills.

Why ask for links to conspiracy theorists and some are looked down upon by their peers in the same profession?

Conspiracy theorists in U.K. have been under a lot of pressure lately and it shows in their recent message posts of several U.K. active posters here at the forum.

Today, they all should be happier with their government removing the self-quarantine requirement for those that are fully vaccinated and have been "ping" due to a recent contact tracing to someone that test posted for Covid...a lot of people were out of work because of the "ping rule".
    • Contact trade "ping" is a stupid health policy in the first place for those fully vaccinated or believe they have natural immunity after a recent recovery from Covid.
We should see a drop in their anti-american attacks (calling people fascists, marxists, attacking democracy), covid conspiracies, covid propaganda, and strange political debates in American politics when they're not Americans.

Incentives and Republican advertisement for vaccinations, punishment for being non-vaxxed. (as not letting into entertainment venues without a vaccine passport) Mask mandates everywhere indoors. Get Trump on tv promoting the vaccine. (and acknowledging that he was wrong about the virus) Vaccine mandates in all public and federal workplaces. (including 12+ children)
Delaying schools for 2 weeks until more kids can get the shot is also a solution. Those kids will take home the virus to their anti-vax parents.

The Republican leadership should promote that getting vaxxed is pro-business and pro-American.(true in both cases) Dead people can not vote.

Mind you, if you get a shot today it only starts to provide some protection a week from now, so all vaccinations are going to have a delayed effect. But masks do save lives, so they can be implemented right away.

    A personal note to you:

We have known each other for 18 years or so. In a month you are going to be on the wrong side of 50. I thought you want to live forever (at least as a goal).

What most people forget about Covid is the effects of long Covid. (and we still don't know the full story about this) But if you want to live the next 3-4 decades in good health, please get vaccinated. That is the best way to avoid long Covid. Dying is one thing but who wants to live with any of these?:
scarred lungs, erectile disfunction, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, tiredness or fatigue, difficulty thinking or concentrating, cough, chest and/or stomach pain, headache, heart palpitations, joint and/or muscle pain, pins and needles, diarrhea, sleep problems.

Right now it looks like Moderna has the best defense against the Delta variant, so if I were to get a shot today, I would choose Moderna.

(The most likely explanation is the stronger dosage and more time between shots. 3-4 weeks was just picked because of quick effectiveness but the best antibody response is around 8 weeks.)

It seems like there's two camps when it comes to this issue. The vaxxed and the unvaxxed.

But here's a question: What about all the people who've already had covid like myself and tested positive for the antibodies? Why would I want to go out and get a manmade vaccine injected into me when I've already been through the two weeks of hell with Covid and earned my antibodies the natural way?

    Baron,

In my opinion, those that have recovered from a Covid infection should not be required to be vaccinated unless there's data that shows those currently with Natural Immunity are being Hospitalized, ICU admissions, and Deaths.

Currently, there's no data that supports the above and the data for reinfections is extremely low via a 1st infection from the initial Covid and then a 2nd infection via the Delta Variant.

A good friend of mine (military buddy) in Kentucky...survived Covid (life support) last year. He's not going to get vaccinated (he recently said YES but now saids NO) but he's going to get tested each month for his antibodies.

Baron, you're more protected than those that are not vaccinated if that means anything to you but I see recommendations that you should still get vaccinated in which I disagree with.
Lets put it this way, if I had prior (recently) been infected with the Delta Variant...I would not get vaccinated until a new Variant of Concern shows up. Yet, I would always wear a face mask in public places along with being careful about whom I allow into my home or car...they must be vaccinated or recently recovered from Covid in the past 3 months.
    • I say 3 months above because there's debates among Immunologists and Virologists about how long Natural Immunity lasts...3 months to 1 1/2 years.
Unfortunately, I travel a lot between Canada, France, United States, and I'm ex-military...me getting fully vaccinated was a necessity and part of my normal lifestyle along with the fact that I grew up in a military family.

I wouldn't be surprised if we soon hear the CDC post an update about those that have recently recovered from an infection with the Delta Variant because currently, I can not find any news specific to that group of Americans.

I say the above via the study of Chickenpox. I learned in college in Immunology classes and the CDC states that if you've had Chickenpox after age 1...you do not need to take the chickenpox vaccine. That info wasn't realized until about 8 years after a mass vaccination of the population.

Covid is a new disease and there will be many changes to the info about Covid in the first few years of the disease. Stay alert...stay alive (military saying).

Yes to avoid reinfection according to
    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...say-you-still-need-get-vaccinated/5535920001/
I think the plan after that will be get a booster shot. Then get another booster shot. Then ...:)
