many years ago I bought his 'course'. http://www.turtletrader.com he remains anonymous at least from the ton of fluff and free information he has on the website. who the hell is this guy? The other turtle is at least announces who he is. http://www.turtletrading.com anyone has the inside scoop?
Much of what they say on their site is flat out wrong, and they refuse to expose their techniques to computerized backtesting. Among the faulty techniques they espouse: (1) trendfollowing for stocks. (2) no profittaking exits. (3) pyramiding positions. (1) doesn't work, and (2) and (3) simply reduce risk-adjusted return, as any experienced trader who has performed backtesting research on portfolios of markets would learn early on. Notwithstanding that, they seem to have a propensity to copy somewhat poignant statements made by others and post them on their site. Thus, it's worth surfing through their site to look at the material copied from others (their may be some copyright violations here, I don't know), but I wouldn't touch their course with a 10 ft pole.
