This week was a real good week for me i trade dow, ftse and forex lots of opportunities jumping out everywhere.

You should have made your money way before the bounce.

Trading is tough and you really do need to put the time in, i've mentioned on another thread that ive got the scars to prove it, opposite of what other posters are saying.

Advice- put the time in, chart time, watch the charts and get the feels.
    study chart patterns.

    Study price action.

    Don't overtrade

  2. Don't feel bad when standing on the sidelines. Cash is good at times and it's hard to go broke earning interest, although I hate being (partly) in cash myself sometimes because you feel you're missing out. When you feel you're ready to go back in, start with smaller position sizes. Can help build back confidence (for both mechanical and discretionary trading). Good luck.

  3. You should develop sound market timing strategy in order to take trades only at predetermined moments. Notice that usually there are 2-4 good opportunities per trading session, not more. Learn to predict and/or recognize good moments, study time, not price.

  4. kinda sad, but most likely true. right now, it's written all over the weekly and monthly charts.

  5. Maybe you didn't see the perfect triangle formation on friday, shame. So what if I recently started and trade 40 lots? I've been trading equities n options for over a decade and I know how to manage risk. And no I did not buy premarket at all, look at the chart and see.

  6. When did you buy then? 1494.50 only traded at 6:15 am ish, not during RTH and thats what YOU said you bought. I am only making comments b/c the likelihood of you (a newbie futs trader) buying 40 lots one tick off the low are slim to none. Show me on the tape, cause I am going over it right now and thats the ONLY time your 1494.50 trade could have occured. I'd love for you to prove me wrong.

  8. So you did not buy 1494.50 then correct, as you stated in this thread? You can see from the chart that the mkt was no where near the price you claim to have bought at 11:40ish EST. I'm not making this stuff up, just look at an ES chart from friday.

Why would you post that you made this trade if it wasnt even possible during the regular market hours?

  9. I am not taking either side, but perhaps he did not realize the contract had changed and he was trading away on M instead of U.

  10. yeah, was still on the june contract, no wonder the confusion. volume is roughly the same right now on june/sep I figured june would be closer to the real sp500 index.
